Inspired by Japanese Design Language, Moju Modular Planters Feature Minimalist and Clean Lines

Submitted by Andrea Ponti, Moju is a series of five indoor planters that feature compact size and clean lines. Wherever you place it, it would complement any room. Coming from Japanese word “mojurā”, it means modular, and it refers to products that can meet user’s needs and adjust to its surroundings. Just as you can tell, Moju series are inspired by Japanese design and design language where each shape of these planters will remind you of “chazutsu”, a Japanese tea leaf container that emphasizes the relationship between user, product, nature, and surroundings.

Explained by Andrea Ponti of Ponti Design Studio, Moju comes in two parts: a removable container and a base. this removable container holds the soil and the plant, it is made of black recycled polycarbonate with a nice matte finish that can be replaced. The base holds the removable container to collect water and keep soil and the roots moist. The base is made of recyclable die-cast aluminum with a naturally matte finish. It’s a unique planter collection where straight lines alternate with curves, thus, giving each planter a distinctive look and feel.
