“Icer” is the first piece of innovate furniture collection created by Ismael Montero. Actually, this coffee table has been designed to produce different sensations and feelings.

I don’t like flat objects that don’t produce anything in your brain when you are using them and the world is unfortunately full of this goods today. Since I was a child, broken objects often give mysterious feeling, because each of them has its own story.

Inspired by broken objects, Ismael wanted to create broken-like objects yet still looking integrated in its main design. It would be a challenge to design something that looks broken but it still features new aspect at the same time. The observer thinks about how would be the complete appearance of the table, you can have art and design in the living room and a little piece of the Arctic if you get “Icer”.

This conceptualization is kept integrated in -closure principle of Gesalt-, that’s why the table doesn’t feature boring design, it is simply modern. At this digital era, coming back to the nature shapes gives a sense of magic through textures, sight, and feeling.
