Nüvist is an architecture and design studio in Istanbul, Turkey that has worked with all ranges and methodologies of art. Founded by Kursad Sekercioglu and Emrah Cetinkaya, this company has released beautiful a series of furniture design which features fluid and continuous form.
Designer : Nuvist Architecture & Design
1. Ekspoze Table Design for TV Studios
The continuous shape of this table represents direct relationship with the modern era that allows a dynamic form. Remember Izmir opera house project? Nüvist wanted to reinvent the structure in different scale for this table design.
First of all we wanted to design a great surface sensation. Our curvature-calligraphic lines of liquefy surface shaped and inspired by all natural lines like from human anatomies to typographical geometries or to organisms of nature. Combinations of concave and convex continuous lines integrate each other. They bend, turn and twist in multiple directions it create organic, fluid, functional, ergonomic and sensual form.
We believe that we created exquisite-elegant design which has contextual relationship between temporal and spatial connections which provide us to create ergonomical, functional morphological surface for a furniture design.
2. Monotip Washbasin Design
This washbasin was born as the experimental design when Nüvist tried a couple of advanced 3D software technologies. Monotip washbasin has been designed with minimum effect, not too much curvaceous form yet it retains the continuous and fluidity shape.
3. Charme Bathtub Design
This design defines a new meaning for continuity unique form of a bathtub. It features comfortable seating idea and singular continuous form. The side parts of the back rest area provide arm resting area during a bath while user can control the watering system through a control panel.
4. Denovo Wall-Hung WC Pan Design
After Monotip washbasin and Charme bathtub, Nüvist decided to complete their bathroom furniture series by designing Denovo Wall-Hung WC Pan. They have carefully designed this unit to maintain the connection between curvilinear geometries of the previous bathroom furniture design.
5. Pare Washbasin Design
Inspired by the beauty of water movement and its power, Nüvist came back with Pare Washbasin. Remember how in nature, a rock can be shaped by water drops? This is the main idea of Pare. Formal movement and asymmetrical transition are blended between horizontal and vertical twists and bends in the curvature of form.
6. Eidos Chair Design
After Charme bathtub design, Nüvist wanted to go back and develop another fluid and continuous form object. The result is Eidos chair. The ergonomic and fluid shape has direct relationship with the whole human body form.
Tuvie has received this project from our ‘Submit A Design‘ feature, where we welcome our readers to submit their design/concept for publication.
