Finding things might be easy for us but for blind people, that would be really difficult task to do. Yes, there are several techniques such as using grids based on footsteps or searching area with feet, these are not easy tasks to do. Asking other people help is not always easy and sometimes are taking too much time. They also don’t want to bother other people. It feels like searching in a completely dark area and you don’t have a flashlight!
FLASHFIND is a concept flashlight specially designed for blind people, it helps to find someone or something they’re looking for whether in public or private places.
Designed by Mohsen Darvish, FLASHFIND helps blind people to not feel nervous or shy to ask for help or feeling bad and weak simply because they are blind. They can talk to the device to find the item they’re looking for, FLASHFIND with its multiple sensors try to find it. After recognizing the target, FLASHFIND would start beeping. You can see how it works through the images below.
Tuvie has received “FLASHFIND” project from our ‘Submit A Design‘ feature, where we welcome our readers to submit their design/concept for publication.
