Filotto, a classic game of billiards gets a make over. Designed for Calma e Gesso, this design answers the challenge to re-create a product with such a long history without so much evolution. A game of billiards was a symbol of leisure originating back from the palaces of the bourgeois which then has become a popular sport across generations. However, the pool table design has always been a work of artisan carpentry, a design that is “frozen in time”.
Taking away the strongest elements of traditional pool table design and re-interpreting them into a new product, Adriano Design has managed to re-create familiar green wool suspended in beautiful crystal structure.
Designer : Adriano Design
Filotto features transparent crystal structure, a sophisticated design by Adriano brothers which no longer features “heaviness” character just like classic pool table. The magic lies within thin, steel frame, which is both adjustable, divisible, and supports solid state game surface. You can get weird sensation when seeing a 750kg billiard table “float” on transparent 4 legs and immediately want to try playing the game on this Italian masterpiece.
Tuvie has received “Filotto Pool Table” project from our ‘Submit A Design‘ feature, where we welcome our readers to submit their design/concept for publication.
Brilliant! Beautiful design! I want to have this in my house!
