It is the start of the annual global competition conducted by Electrolux, supporting the emerging talents concerning home appliances design. Encouraging industrial design students as well as fresh graduates submit their works to avail a six-moth paid internship and prize money, Electrolux Design Lab conducts this competition giving a chance for contestants this year to present solutions pertaining to the ‘intelligent mobility’ theme. While May 1, 2011 being the last date for submission, it is expected that 25 semi-finalists would be announced this June, after their participation in a live event and presenting their cutting-edge concept. This company encourages young and creative minds all over the world to present their contribution to the prospect of industrial design and thus create new epoch home appliances. The overall winner of this contest will receive €5,000 together with an invitation to work in partnership with the company throughout his/her 6 month paid internship, while the runner ups will receive €3,000 and €2,000 respectively.
