Vanja explanations about Modli Elements

One of the most important elements of MODLI lamp is a 77 mm long illuminating object consisting of LED technology bulbs. One of its main characteristics is simplicity and clean form where minimum interventions were applied to create a unique shape. MODLI lamp is made of semi-transparent ABS plastic. It is very easy to produce. It is simple for both use and maintenance.

The second, equally important element of MODLI lamp, is the illuminating object, designed to form quarter of a circle in top projection. In designing the MODLI lamp, I wanted to create a number of similar, but at the same time very different elements which can easily fit together. The LED technology bulbs are also part of this element.

The third element represents a connection between the first two elements and it conducts electricity. Each facet of the rounded cube (if not in function) can be closed with small, nicely shaped cap. This element boasts a pure and clean, easy to use, design.

The fourth element connects illuminating elements to the power source and the spots the lamps will be hooked up to, e.g. the wall. It has three holes: the first one is the same as one on the previous connector and it connects illuminating objects, the second one is placed at the side and provides free way for the power cables, and the third one is placed at the bottom and it can be also used to store the power cable or to fix the folded lamp at the spot it will be hooked up to. This connector is indispensable in case the lamp is to be hanged or connected to the power supply at the 45° angle.

The fifth element connects the illuminating elements to the power source and the spots the lamps will be hooked up to, e.g. the wall. It has three holes: the first one is the same as one on the previous connector and it connects illuminating objects, the second one is placed at the side and provides free way for the power cables, and the third one is placed at the bottom and it can be also used to store the power cable or to fix the folded lamp at the spot it will be hooked up to. This connector is smaller than the previous one because it’s used only for connecting the lamp at the 90° angle.
