  1. well isn't the whole point of this product to use light in art and not ink? so you will need to also invent the paper to absorb the light of this

  2. Did you get the point ?

To have variety of color you need to keep one object close to you for each color you want…!

    Are you crazy?

Creativity is the opposite !! take some pencils and draw what does NOT exists !!

    • or you could go to a paint store near you and pick one of each of the color cards they have and just have them around when you need a color 😛

  3. Wow these color pickers look great. If you are a designer this is the coolest thing. You can tap nature and infuse the virtual world with the colors of reality. Would be awesome if this could become an iphone function or if you are poor like me for HTC 😛

  4. OMG!!
Never thought of something like this would ever come into existence.
    Just incredible.
    Love it.
Would surely Get one for me.

  5. This is too good.
But it would have been better, if some information on the product like its specs in details, it price, product selling web page, etc..
If those details could have given then guys like me, who really wants to buy it, would be very very helpful..
Would request you to kindly update the page with the said details.
    Thanks

  6. That is a seriously cool tool. I need to pick one of those up! I tried something similar by taking a digital picture of something then putting it into Photoshop and grabbing the color from there. This is so much easier. Must Have!

  7. The Best ever thing I have seen..
I didn't had any idea as such, before I actually hovered through your article..
    Really this is great..
i just would humbly request you for two things..
    1. the price?
    2. Where Would I get i??

  8. This shows how technology is increasing..
Thanks for this great post, without this, I never knew that technology has gone so far..
I feel i am so back..
Would appreciate, if could get a buying link…
    I really really need it..
And also if you can kindly guide me on the price of this item..
    Thanks

  9. This color picker is so very good..
The concept is something to be appreciated..
But if I am not mistaken then it is still in its prototype state, and is not at all available in the market.
infact I feel that it might not have been made with full success..
Would be waiting for it to release widely all over the world..
And also at a reasonable price, else it won’t be possible to get one…

  10. Wow! This color picker is the most advance pen I ever heard so far! Where to avail such amazing pen?! This might really be expensive! I admire the brain behind color picker pen!

  11. I really need this for my art projects. I think my kids would really enjoy this. Also for taking notes at work, I could have a page printed out for choosing from and I don’t have to switch pens to get a new color. Awesome!

  12. Interesting concept. I think it would be more practical if it were a digital pen that you could use as a sylus with something like a Wacom tablet to use in Photoshop.

  13. I'm terribly disappointed that so many sites are posting this vaporware. I'm seeing more and more "concept" items that have not and likely will not come to market due to cost or developmental concerns. Prove me wrong if you must but I predict like so many others this pen will never see mass production.

  14. I like the idea behind this but it seems more practical as a colorblind scanner. forget the ink, simply display the words for what color you are scanning. even if it is as simple as , green, dark green, light green, etc. It would help the colorblind out tremendously.

  15. there is no RGB ink because RGB is light and its a additive color modell. you can use a rgb sensor but you must use a cmyk ink because you cant print light!

  16. Idea is great the main problem is where to buy it??? if you read the whole content you'll not find an answer to this. so it's weird.. why advertise an item if it's still doesnt exist, very stupid
