			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dragonfly has complex flight characteristics, and Festo has managed to incorporate these sophisticated mechanisms into <strong>BionicOpter robotic dragonfly</strong>. Just like a real dragonfly, this robot is extremely light, <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/futuristic-exclamation-marky-flying-robot/">can fly</a> in all directions, hover in mid-air and glide without beating its wings. In order to control flapping frequency and twisting of each wing, there’s amplitude controller incorporated in it, tilting the wings can determine the direction of thrust. By combining all those aspects, this remote-controlled dragonfly can be directed to any position in space.</p>
<p>The combination of lightweight construction and components such as sensors, actuators, control systems enable this robot a unique way of flying. We can think of several cool tasks that <em>BionicOpter robotic dragonfly</em> can be really useful, such as: exchange secret messages, spy cams, science projects, explore hard-to-reach places, etc.</p>

This belief should be reversed since the cleaning job needs to be respected to raise public awareness about litter and cleanliness. This device features stylish and minimalist design with effective and intelligent functionality.</p>
<p>X-Cav is a concept street sweeper that has been designed to address the issue of cleaning streets in big cities. The main feature is the ability to adjust itself to cover all street widths, unlike conventional sweepers that require different machines to cover both narrow and wide streets. Located parallel to the cleaning unit, the undercarriage can be extended from 55-inch to 120-inch (140cm to 300cm), while the combination of horizontally and vertically rotating brushes ensure optimal cleaning coverage.</p>

<p>Most often than not, there will be areas that this sweeper can’t reach, therefore, <em>X-Cav Street Sweeper</em> is equipped with an extendable arm (at the left side) that works like a vacuum cleaner. The main cabin is rotatable, in this way, the driver can use the extendable arm to clean complicated, narrow areas. At the right side, user can find compartment storage to keep additional cleaning equipment. To ensure an easy access the door slides upwards using the aluminum frames around the cabin as a support.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Casabella cleaning robot concept</strong> has been designed to celebrate Casabella 25th anniversary, it was shown at the International Housewares Show 2013, Chicago. Since the company is in cleaning and kitchen gadgets industry, this industrial designer has come up with innovative <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/robo-tap-cleaner-by-gyu-ha-choi-is-your-future-robot-vacuum-cleaner/">concept robot</a> to inspire future design.</p>
<p>The robot itself uses a process called Microbial Electrolysis, which is a proven process that uses bacteria as a power source. The robot vacuums up waste, then harnesses the energy within the bacteria to power itself. So in short, the robot is completely sustainable by utilizing power derived from the matter it &#8220;consumes&#8221; or vacuums up.</p>
<p>Another unique feature of the robot is the honeycomb flex wheels that give the robot the ability to climb up and down stairs and over obstacles. The honeycomb structure is one of the strongest in nature, but when there is pressure, it has the ability to collapse and flex to help guide the robot up stairs.</p>

<p><em>7Miles</em> serves well as a city personal commuting device. Designed with compact and powerful linear electromotors, this robot allows user to travel over long distance naturally, quickly and with minimum effort. This concept is about synthesis of human nature and high-end technology. It supports physical capabilities of healthy and the less fortunate ones.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Silverback robot</strong> is a conceptual robot designed by <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/reem-c-humanoid-robot-design-for-pal-robotics-contest/">Jason Falconer</a> for Icarus Technology&#8217;s bid to enter DARPA&#8217;s Robotics Challenge. The challenge (slated for 2014) will require a robot to drive a vehicle, open doors, climb ladders, and use power tools (among other tasks). While most of the robots entering the challenge will likely be humanoid in design, Icarus Technology felt that an ape-like robot would work best. It is able to stand up like a person, but can also walk on all fours for better stability on rough terrain.</p>
<p>To do this, the Silverback robot requires stilts on its arms to prevent injury to its hand mechanisms. It also walks with inverted knees on flexible but strong carbon fiber planks similar to those used in prostheses for athletic amputees, which is a fairly unusual method for robots.</p>

The tail works as a blower, very handy when you use it to clean inside your CPU. It features 3L dust bag capacity and motor power of 1600W. <p><strong>Gymbot Personal Trainer Robot technical description:</strong><br />
Gymbot is a humanoid robot with articulated joints that mimics any human movement with ease, speed and precision. Behind its helmet-viewer there’s a 3D video camera with scanner function and thermal camera. Using a directional microphone, this robot can measure heart rate, and consequently blood pressure.</p>
<p>Fat mass index is calculated using two sensors of electrical impedance present on the hands of Gymbot. On the chest there is a touchscreen through which Gymbot can show the exercises to be performed, the results achieved and whatever else you want.</p>
<p>Gymbot Personal Trainer Robot is voice activated and can interact smoothly in different languages. It has a dynamic design to evoke its function of personal trainer, the humanoid form was an obvious choice because Gymbot must be able to perform any movement when accompanies the user during exercises.</p>

This robotic toy consists of several blocks or modules where children are free to arrange in a way to create simple commands for the robot to do. Ethan Huber, a Chicago based industrial designer, identified the gap in our educational toy market. Yes, there are so many educational toys that teach children to develop logical thinking by programming but there are not many of them successfully attract and interact with children.</p>

By arranging these <em>Robotic Blocks</em>, children can create their own version of robots as well as give them commands or instructions to execute. Each block has a limited set of changeable parameters which correspond to its function, such as move forward for 8 seconds, then another block to make this robot turn 90-degree, and so on. Who knows, these children might be the future Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg.</p>

The Omnivore Marauder ants are the reason you don’t tie up cattle or children in Africa because Marauder ants can take down prey hundreds if not thousands of times larger then their own size. They do this by traveling in the millions and swarming on their pray. To achieve this, they need travel in huge numbers very efficiently on super highways they create on the jungle floor. There are different classes of Marauder ants that do specific jobs and one of the larger super-major worker’s only task is to act like a bulldozer to quickly clear a path for the super highway so the other workers can forage by the masses for the colony.</p>
<p>This super strong exoskeleton super-major marauder ant seemed like the perfect fit to heavily influence the design of a high speed dozer to be used to quickly create fire lines to help control forest fires. It could also be used in urbane settings to quickly clear debris covered streets for emergency vehicles after flood waters or tsunami waters have receded like from the recent earthquake off the Pacific coast of Tohoku in Japan. <p>The <em>Marauder Dozer</em> has six track frames with rubber tracks connected to six articulating legs mounted to the chassis. Like the six legs on an ant, it allows the Marauder dozer to travel with low ground pressure, allowing for superior all terrain capabilities. The legs can jack up the chassis for high ground clearance for easy travel over debris piles. The legs of Marauder Dozer can also extend far enough to keep the cab dry in up to 13.6 feet of water while traveling through water hazards and swamp terrain.  The legs can also jack up the rear end when the center of gravity needs to be shifted more towards the front to give the front blade better ground braking force.</p>
<p>A large 17.8 foot wide by 8.2 foot high debris blade on the front of the <strong>Marauder Dozer</strong> allows for dirt and small debris to flow trough while catching and moving immobilizing debris out of the way. Jacking the track frame legs all the way up allows the dozer to push higher up on larger standing trees to make it easier to push them over. The large teeth on the blade allow the dozer to effortlessly dig up large stumps and old fallen trees that have become sunken into the forest floor.</p>

<p>The cooling system for hydraulics and engine are mounted in the middle. The engine is mounted in the rear to counter balance the very large and heavy blade in the front. This is just like the Gaster on the rear of an ant to allow it to carry and push large objects with its front mandibles.</p>

<p>The cab can swing out to each side of the very wide blade for better blade side edge visibility. The cab can rotate 45 degrees for shuttle work which makes for less stress on the operator’s neck and back. The cab can also rotate 180 degrees to allow the operator to more easily travel backwards for long distances.</p>

Basically V<em>altra Ants tractor</em> is available in two different versions hybrid electric or full electric drive train. Each of these tractors consists of two basic modules: the Soldier that features 100kW power and the Worker that features 200kW power. This is a good modular solution that you can choose according to your needs, you can choose to use each module individually or work together. Each of these machines wheels is connected to the chassis via a suspension beam where the stiffness and position of the beams can be individually adjusted. This design provides optimum driving comfort on any terrain while the height of the machine can be adjusted to work on different environment.</p>
