No, it’s not a jet, actually it’s a MusicMachine or you usually call it a music box. It’s so awesome that you won’t recognize it at first sight, it has all the traditional, time-honored elements just like you will find in high-end music box, but this time, the designer has decided to drastically design this music box to become something unconventional and awesome. It’s the result from a collaboration between MB&F and REUGE, so you can expect nothing less from them. It has dual propellers and twin silver cylinders attached on sleek and slim outrigger landing gear, it really does look like a futuristic jet.

Each cylinder of MusicMachine can play 3 tunes, the left one plays “Star Wars” theme, “Imperial March”, and “Star Trek” theme. The right side plays “Another Brick in The Wall” by Pink Floyd, “Smoke on The Wtar” by Deep Purple, and “Imagine” by John Lennon. Pretty cool and awesome, heh? Available in limited edition, there are 33 pieces in white and 33 pieces in black.

Drop The Beat is a concept wearable electronic drum set to further enhance the artist’s presence during live performance. We see this as the simpler version of Pacer Suit, a concept suit that makes unique sound when you move. The designer was inspired by Laurie Anderson’s 1986 concert film “Home of the Brave”, then he designed a special wardrobe where each drum pad with embedded sensor is attached to it using Velcro.

It comes with patent-pending SEA (Sensory, Elastic, and Adaptive) interface to provide you with precise, information rich, and pressure-sensitive look-like keyboard instrument. Its 3D sensor interface allows for seamless transitions between discrete and continuous input with great tactile feedback. Gittler Guitar Features Striking Minimalist Design with Ergonomic Features

Unique and revolutionary, these are 2 words that perfectly represent Gittler Guitar design. Striking minimalist design that incorporates rounded cylindrical with ergonomic features, made entirely of aircraft grade Titanium. It was designed and created for the first time by Allan Gittler, a genius and visionary musician that aimed to dismiss common misunderstanding embraced by many guitar players since 1930. Timeless Design Poul Henningsen Grand Piano

Brilliant and crystal clear, that’s the sound promised to you coming from Poul Henningsen Grand Piano. A unique piano designed in 1931 yet still belongs to the future. As you can see here, it’s not your conventional grand piano, it features light and open design that was based on the conversation with famous Danish Jazz pianist, Leo Mathiesen. Mathiesen told Henningsen about how hard to see his bass player while on stage due to the opaque wooden piano lid. So, Henningsen designed a piano with curved legs to provide more room for percussion instruments in an ensemble set-up, the music desk was uniquely molded to match the lid as single transparent shell.

Futuristic Grand Piano by Peugeot Design Lab for Pleyel

Stunningly beautiful piano concept has been unveiled by Peugeot Design Lab as the result of its collaboration with Pleyel, a piano manufacturer. Sleek design with lowered mechanics enable the aligning design of the piano’s cover and keyboard, for the first time ever, audience will be able to see the artist plays the piano literally from any viewing angle. With this piano, audience can be hypnotized by the movement of the pianist’s hands, it creates higher level of interaction. The artist can also hear the details sound of their instrument like never before, a new level of quality which never previously achieved.

In order to get great impact to sound, the body of this piano and the soundboard are both made of wood. The lid and the leg have been made of carbon fiber due to the lightness and sound projection of this material. It would take months of study, research and tests to get to the final development of this piano, above all, the main objective of this project is to maintain Pleyel’s high sound quality, simultaneously subtle, colored, with powerful bass and scintillating treble, harmonized on the timbre, as to retain its unique touch.

Peugeot Design Lab successfully blends all best quality from a piano as well as sophistication from the world of automobile. Take a look at the soft, subtle silhouette of this piano, you would look at the streamlined hull of a competition sailing boat. This piano retains beautiful black lacquer finish yet boasts aerodynamic look and revolutionary appearance.

Gen-X Buskers Amp : Mobile Musical Equipment for Street Performers by Nathan McDonald

The problem all musicians have is the transportation of their musical equipment, and it is because of this that you will often see a guitarist (for example) struggling down the street with his/her guitar and case, an amplifier, and a backpack full of other stuff they need (like cables, foot pedals, a microphone and stand, and a drink).

Based on extensive research done by Nathan McDonald, a product designer, he found that buskers (street performers) have two options in the way they perform: they can either play acoustically and strain their voices to be heard, or they can play electrically but have to bring their own power source. The most common power source for this is a car battery, which is just something else to carry, and car batteries are not light! This is where the Gen-X Buskers Amp comes in.

The Gen-X Buskers Amp is an innovation in mobile musical equipment. The Gen-X incorporates a back-pack style design, this is to aid in the transportation of musical equipment, since it is easy to carry and other smaller pieces of equipment can be stored inside the Gen-X’s storage compartment. For increased sound quality the Gen-X has a hard polypropylene shell, but because of this the back panel has to be shaped to fit the spine for comfort. The Gen-X uses 3 oval speakers that have been arranged to create the ‘new face of outdoor performing’.

Although named a ‘buskers amp’ this could in fact be used by any musician on the move. Gen-X Buskers Amp can be used outside, powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery, or indoors powered by an AC adaptor.
