Grow your food from home, it can be done easily thanks to Let’s Patch project. It’s designed for urban gardeners or families on-the-go, no more guessing when you need to water your plants. These self-watering patch planters allow you and your kids to grow your fresh greens and herbs, everyone can do it. After extensive researches and soft launch within the local community and elementary school classrooms, the design team has come up with perfect formula so that you can grow fresh, healthy herbs, and greens, every single time.

Let’s Patch utilizes the sub-irrigation technique which allows water to moisten the soil via capillary action and keep plant roots growing and healthy, similar principle like sea sponge. The main material is Tyvek, a high-density and durable material which is fully recyclable, washable, and stain resistant. You can support this project to help taking manufacturing process to the new level so that everyone can buy this product, click here.

This project is called Mobility Hybrid Concept Car, a 2-seater compact hybrid vehicle with spacious cabin where you can keep 2 collapsible pedelecs or pedal electric bikes under the boot. The batteries of these bikes can be charged in the car or a socket outlet, the bike and the car feature common design lines that reflect they are hybrids.

The main goal by integrating pedelecs in the car is to provide higher individual mobility allowing you to easily adapt to traffic in the city or countryside. Commuters can easily park their cars somewhere outskirts of the city and then continue their journey with pedelecs, avoiding rush hour traffic and parking space problem at the city center. Instead of using public transport, you would enjoy riding your bike while exploring the city.

Designer : Emin Ayaz

Powered by a hybrid engine, this car offers small yet spacious cabin. The ability to store 2 collapsible pedelecs doesn’t sacrifice the storage space for your luggage. When you driving the car at high speed, the electric engine turns off and the combustion engine turns on. The car’s front and headlights change color based on the power mode: electric or fuel mode.

Soul Cell project is a solar power lamp that allows you to enjoy the light even when there’s no power supply. It combines photovoltaics and lighting to create portable illumination solutions. You can charge the light during the day, its solar power will keep the energy to light up the lamp when you need it. Simply unfold the shade via twisting action, in this way, this lamp is very compact when not in use, making it highly portable to carry anywhere with you. There’s a strap with magnets which allows you to hang the lamp in different way, both at opened or closed mode.

Soul Cell is the perfect light to carry when you plan to have outdoor activities such as camping, it makes a great mood lighting as well. You can hang it on the balcony, tree in your garden or a bike handlebar.

A pack of GIGS.2.GO USB flash drives which you can tear off to share them. The compact size (a credit card sized pack) makes it easy to carry and share, not to mention it uses low-cost molded paper pulp as its main material, a nice tiny reusable thumb drives. This concept is the answer of the challenge that small gadgets don’t have to use oil-based plastic enclosures, it can utilize 100-percent post-consumer recycled paper as well.

Kurt Rampton, the designer, says that this concept is renewable, biodegradable, cheap, lightweight, yet durable enough to ensure each tab lasts many uses. He explained that this project was inspired by BOLTGroup designers who frequently running into problems when sharing presentation or files with clients, because not all clients are tech savvy while cloud sharing might not be the best option.

This small pack of flash drives can be shared easily and you can even give it to the client. It’s flexible and requires low cost in production, thanks to the idea of using molded paper pulp. The result is a great opportunity for anyone to use up-cycle material as a gadget product enclosure, the ability to tear the material lends itself to the tear-off-tab concept. At the end of its useful life, you can easily disassemble GIGS.2.GO USB flash drive to separate the organic and technical parts.

Green Dynamite brings you green explosion, don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt a bit. This project is actually a plant pot as an alternative to boring pots which exist in the market today. Those boring pots often are accompanied by sophisticated patterns and decorations or enhanced with expensive electronic solutions that will soon discourage you from keeping the plant and the pot.

This project allows you to plant your favorite self-watering plant inside the ceramic pot which then you can continue placing it inside the glass container filled with water so that the plant can feed itself. There’s a fuse made of nylon cord which will absorb water through the plant’s root itself, just like the fire runs through to the explosive body of real dynamite. The plant will absorb water contained in the glass slowly, that’s why you need to fill the glass container again after several days.

Parasol canopy protects us from the heat of the sun and the rain, but Skycycle Parasol works together with its surrounding to give you better shade and light. Assaf Israel teamed up with Hanan Layosh to create this innovative canopy, they wanted to design a canopy that lives in harmony with its surroundings while respecting nature. A light sensor is incorporated on top to detect changes in sunlight intensity, then taking advantage of solar energy, the semi-transparent surfaces can rotate slowly to shade you from different directions. When the sunlight is a bit weak, the surface of Skycycle Parasol will open to let the light in and allow you to enjoy the warmth of the sun.

Underneath the upper surface, there are several LED lights which powered by solar energy can be used after sunset. Simply spin the shade to gradually increase or decrease its brightness.

Millions of boxes including health and food aids are annually sent to developing countries such as the African and Asian ones and those in other parts of the world covered by the UNICEF. Upon unpacking, most of these boxes are disposed of while these plain boxes enjoy a powerful potential to be creatively reused. In this concept, a sustainable solution is presented, based on which the simple model of 3-D puzzles is perforated on the boxes sent by the UNICEF.

The color and graphic elements of these puzzles attract the children, they will then take out the puzzle perforated models for completion and playing with. The Teachbox concept provides with the children possibility to make their own toys.

Regarding the need for pleasant and safe games and the children’s intellectual training weakness in poor and developing countries, Teachbox concept can train children’s creative mind. Beside the recommended plans, other diversified plans and forms can be implemented in order for the children to learn more. These models are perforated on boxes by the die-cut system and impose a low cost on the production process with a single color print.

Novague eco car concept is an environmentally friendly vehicle based on the characteristics of old Czech Laurin & Klement, a pre-war car manufacturer. As you can see here the retro design of Novague Eco car highlights the characteristics of this pioneering brand, a green car that emerges out of the elements of pre-war cars.

This car boats innovative and high-tech system where individual parts such as tube car frame, narrow wheels, half-hood body, or exterior construction are all constructed by keeping our environment in mind. The main goal is to create the most ecological vehicle for modern lifestyle.

Designer : Novague

The batteries are located at the front part of the car, under the tilting front lid that functions as the door to be exact. One time charge of the batteries allow you to drive this green car up to 500km. Inspired by F1 technology, this car uses lattice truss frame from chromium-molybdenum steel for the front part which is fixed to the carbon frame with inside honeycomb upfront. In order to eliminate the weight of mechanical connections, Novague eco car concept utilizes an electronic 4×4 with stabilization system. Together, double-wishbone front axel, a push rod suspension, uni-ball bearings, and impact dampers are able to change ground clearance according to the current terrain.

Tilt 20 dispenser concept redesigns our conventional dispenser shape in order to reduce wastage and increase convenience. During a party, a big dispenser is often use to serve drinks such as punch, juice, soda, or ice tea, however as the beverage runs low, we usually tilt the dispenser forward to get the last drops. It’s an inconvenience way to pour your drink, isn’t it?

Tilt 20 dispenser concept was born out of the inconvenience above. The base of this container incorporates a chamfer to allow it stands at an angle or vertically. When the dispenser is full, its center of gravity allows it to stand vertically, while the volume of liquid becomes less and less, it can be tilted 20-degrees (now you know where the name came from) to rest on the chamfered section of its base. In this way, all remaining liquid will be pooled around the tap outlet, making it easy for anyone to dispense until the last drop of the beverage inside.

In order to reduce tree consumption, DesignNobis has come up with concept Living Pots sustainable cultivation units which consist of 100% recyclable and re-used materials. Each unit is made out of simple metal and scrap pieces of log, it can be folded flat for easy transport and assembly. The main goal of this project is to reduce wood consumption by designing and developing sustainable pot for plants, herbs, or mushrooms using scrap parts from industrial wood processing. The end product features minimalist and stylish design for green conscious growers.

Organic farming is practiced for both individual and industrial purposes, the design of this unit allows ecological way for growing and cultivating plants better than plastics in terms or breathing. For example mushroom cultivation, it requires specific moisture level which can be achieved from conventional sliced logs, but using this pot, it prevents any trees from being cut.
