Split Lifebook is a concept laptop that offers new ideas to overcome all issues of our present laptops currently have. It’s a common sight to see people use laptops nowadays. However, the unsuitable size and weight of the laptop are still our main issues to this day. Due to the improvement of a network system, most of these gadgets offer suitable user environments.

Split Lifebook concept has been designed just like a well organized cosmetic package set. Wait guys, don’t look away just because you read the word “cosmetic” you think that the laptop will look feminine. It’s actually pretty futuristic. The exterior design has the feeling of high end hand bag; you can choose the cover design according to your personal style. Since the case has been designed to be able to integrate with the gadgets, it acts not only as a protection but also as the monitor holder. Inside the bag, you can take out all little stuff you need such as mouse, keyboard, pen, monitor, etc. Take out the monitor and use it as a tablet PC or combine it with the keyboard to use it as a laptop.

This laptop is integrated with a remote control which allows you to have the freedom to listen to your music and do simple things and such even when the laptop is in the bag.

Flexible Crowd Notebook To Fit Any Application or Intended Use

The Crowd was designed in Germany by Philipp Schaake. It has won the second place under the LIFEBOOK category for Fujitsu Design Award 2011. It features a range of special usage technique together with a slate pattern, notebook design, and also a configuration where the display screen and keyboard are detached. This design plan provides a notebook which can be flexibly driven to fit several application or desired usage. With a stress on the notebook’s rear cover, the most important feature is that the PC is even capable of operating when closed. The design can to adapt to a number of usage set-up from the LIFEBOOK kind for notebook PCs to be introduced in 2013.

Created using a combination of sophisticated green technologies is the innovative ROLL ME, a green personal computer meant for mobile use. It gives an intuitive new/old experience of writing as well as reading old-fashion style with the use of e-paper. The use of Nanotechnology concept makes it ergonomic and innovative. The flexible low-powered electronic paper permits the user to read in high light and roll the e-paper around the computer. SolarRoll is yet another highlight where the stretchy solar panel can be rolled into the computer’s shaft.

Luce Double Solar Panel Powered Laptop PC From Clear Polycarbonate

Luce in Italian means light. I guess you can see why it was named like that. Luce is a double solar panel powered laptop-pc made from clear polycarbonate. The solar panels at the top and bottom provide the power for the laptop to work and it will continuously recharging during the day (standby or being used). This wireless device is cable-free, powered by nature, and represent the future for a sustainable development focused on user’s real needs. After mega earthquake in Japan, the designer realized how important to develop natural self-powered devices for the future. Luce is also one of the projects from Fujitsu Design Competition 2011.

Bento Pad : Futuristic Modular Mobile Computing

Bento Pad delivers an exceptional mobile computing experience. Bento is a cinematic tablet lets users enjoy content on the go. It employs modularity as an approach for sustainability and synergy. Measuring just 8mm thick, Bento Pad features a ten-inch wide cinematic radio OLED screen and approaches two dimensionality. Offering great grip and protection is a rubber gasket that runs around the perimeter. Elegant touch screen controls are notable assets that add more significance to Bento Pad. The mobile keyboard is quite ergonomic and leaves an ample amount of space for apps. Its dynamic screen makes it rather simple to input languages as well as symbols. The user can just dock Bento Pad into an innovative Bento Book in a matter of minutes. In total, Bento Pad is not a mere replacement for a PC. Instead, it makes the portable computer even more better.

Hybrid Dell Inspiron Duo Tablet : A Netbook and A Tablet Device

Dell Inspiron Duo Tablet made its debut on stage at Intel’s IDF 2010. At first look, you might think that this is just a tablet device, but you’ll be surprised to know it is also a netbook. Flipping the screen from within the frame will display the keyboard and turns this device into a netbook. This hybrid computer runs on dual-core atom n550 processor with a 10″ screen and Windows 7 Premium edition. Do they set a new standard for a netbook design?

Whenever attending a meeting, I always have to carry a heavy laptop and an even heavier projector from my office to the venue, so I know very well how it really feels. Wish I could have a MITRA micro pc that features a compact and battery torch shaped look with great functional opportunities. This small PC contains a roll out LCD that actually is a set of solar panels that generates energy from the sunlight and stores the surplus energy in the onboard battery for emergency use. Also, it comprises hand crank charging facility which gives 30 minutes of use through rotating crank for 30 times only. The built-in LED projector is another unique feature of the PC concept that gives convenient presentation alternatives. This PC was specially designed for Indian rural areas where online teaching, online medical treatment or online help for rural farmers can have significant effect on the entire country’s development and MITRA is the most efficient alternative considering the country’s overall aspects.

Froot is a bio friendly desktop computer concept, which was also a participant of DELL Regeneration Green Computing Technology Contest, features laser technology and high end projecting for efficient and convenient computing. With this concept, the need of external peripherals like monitor or keyboard has been eliminated by projecting them onto any flat surface. Froot has been made by using starch based polymer made biodegradable skin that ensures a close loop of the product by returning the electrical components to the manufacturer for recycle and reuse. Moreover, Froot promotes social interaction by using the projected screen as a media center for business or family entertainment.
