Alienware MK2 Project is a futuristic Alienware vehicle that is grown instead of built. Will this even be possible? Well Stanford’s engineers have successfully created biological transistor, it’s only a matter of time before we start to create biological machines. Anyway, you can read below Shane Baxley‘s explanations about this awesome concept.

The project started last year during my senior term at Art Center College of Design while working on my Apple Car sharing service thesis project. The entire term I had been drawing clean, pure vehicles which was something new for me but one night the itch to design something crazy became too much. So I asked myself, what would an Alienware car look like? Alienware computers are the antithesis to the Apple aesthetic. That night I came up with a general direction and have been tweaking the design ever since as one of my side projects.

In theory this Alienware vehicle would be used for racing in the distant future where vehicles are ‘grown’ rather than built. The driver would sync to the car through his or her suit and the vehicle itself would be one large computer. This is not beyond the scope or reality, engineers at Stanford were recently successful in creating the worlds first biological transistor, thus opening the doors to biological computers. Grown vehicles will definitely be the ‘way of the future’, I just hope we get their sooner rather than later.

Spectacular supercar called Lamborghini Egoista has been designed by Walter De Silva, the Head of Design for Volkswagen Group, to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. As Italian, De Silva feels pretty attached to Italian brand, therefore, he wanted to pay homage to and highlight the fact that Lamborghini cars have always been made with pure passion. If you take a look at Egoista, you’ll notice a jaw dropping car which is forged from a passion for innovation and solution, the same principle used that set Lamborghini apart from other automakers.

Be selfish and enjoy this sophisticated vehicle alone, this car has only one seat, so you don’t have to share with other people. De Silva explained that this car was made for one person only, so that they can have fun and express their own personality to the maximum. Dedicated for hyper-sophisticated people who constantly looking for extreme and special things in the world, it’s the next level of hedonism , a car without compromise because it’s so selfish (egoista).

The debut of this concept supercar was pretty spectacular, cinematic entry combined with 9 big screens in the room. Powered by 5.2-liter V10 engine, the car roared and shaked the 20-meter tensioned event structure. The cockpit features futuristic appearance, and once again inspired by the world of aviation, it can be ejected in an emergency situation.

Designer : Walter da Silva

The upper part of the vehicle does not have aerodynamic appendages, but rather flaps integrated in the bodywork profile which acts automatically depending on the driving conditions. Two rear flaps activate automatically at high speeds to increase stability, while a series of air intakes on the back of the engine hood provides the cooling air flow to the powerful V10 power plant. While the front of the vehicle has a profile intended to increase downforce, the rear is fully open with the mechanics in view, reducing weight but also with the result of creating a more aggressive look.

The exterior is characterized by two fundamental aspects: its architecture, and the materials used. The design is determined by a highly muscular structure, in which empty and solid areas fit together with strength and vigor. The bodywork is dominated, on its sides, by the stylized profile of a bull preparing to charge, its horns lowered. The bull is driving towards the front wheels, conferring a futuristic dynamism and lines which are already, in themselves, highly aggressive. Naturally, this is a homage, a bold stylistic citation which can only be a reworking of the Lamborghini brand icon, the well-known raging bull. The challenge of efficiently inserting the Lamborghini symbol as an integral part of the bodywork was met courageously and artistically. The plan view reveals a trimaran profile, where the central hull forms a unique section with the cockpit, underlined by the carbon-fiber cover on the front hood.

The cockpit’s interior is extremely rational, its functionality taken to the extreme. There is a racing seat with a four-point seatbelt, each strip a different color, the airbags, and the bare minimum of instruments. The focal point of these is a head-up display, typical of jet fighters. To get out of the vehicle, the driver must remove the steering wheel and rest it on the dashboard, open the dome with an electronic command, stand up in their seat, sit down on a precise point of the left-hand bodywork, then swivel their legs 180 degrees from the inside of the cockpit to the outside of the vehicle. At this point they can set their feet down and stand up. Even in getting out of the vehicle, the Lamborghini Egoista requires a pilot more than a driver, a real top gun.

The swing door style is hoped to attract new demand of young and modern generations. It’s a convertible car where the door also functions as structures for the canvas if passengers prefer to have some privacy. The work table at the rear can also be folded flat and combined with the back seat to form a nice bed. Equipped with futuristic dashboard, it looks like an interesting concept car.

Renault teamed up with Ross Lovegroove has unveiled this unique Renault Twin’z Concept at Triennale of Milano. This creation underlines Renault’s Design strategy to explore new design languages by examining our nature, they learn about nature’s system and energy. This project goal is to bring awareness and understanding of our actions that can impact nature. The main idea is to bring “playful” theme into your car, imagine a spacious cabin which is truly passenger friendly.

The wheels and tires are both designed as a single entity with cool glowing green finish for the wheels. Its solid central core boasts branches that strike out towards the rim. Developed by Michelin, the tire continues the same pattern to create harmony between these 2 functions.

You would also notice distinctive LED light patterns of Renault Twin’Z, the headlight looks like eyes that communicate with positive, alert expression.

The sequence of LEDs continue from the grille to rear bumper through the roof. You can see unique pattern of light flowing towards the head lights and then climbing up over windscreen pillars then go back down to the rear bumper. It’s a magical effect that brings Twin’Z alive.

Designer : Ross Lovegroove

Instead of conventional door mirrors, this concept car uses an integrated video camera that has been aerodynamically liquefied within the body.

The interior of Renault Twin’Z concept is very roomy, the double floor pan makes high up driving position, thus allowing drivers and passengers to benefit from great view of the road and surrounding environment.

National Geographic is famous for its daring expeditions and adventures, life-threatening challenges for all adventurers. Zaire is a concept vehicle which has been designed and developed for National Geographic in 2035, a tough all-terrain vehicle which is an ideal companion for anyone to explore places where no one would dare to venture before. Here’s what the designer says about Zaire:

In a different manner from existing Dakar Rally or F1, Volkswagen will provide National Geographic with very special car to promote its own technology power in 2035. It will have another promotion effect globally by providing National Geographic direction team of which history and recognition are solid with specialized cars. In 2035, National Geographic elite films team formed of 5 members leave for Africa. In order for them to catch the images of hidden regions and scenes of Africa, they needed their very own transportation equipment which can quickly breakthrough unpaved roads and survive through any environment. Therefore, National Geographic creates Zaire, which is formed based on the combination of Michelin of the Volkswagen and its previous technologies, and can drive through any circumstances. Innovative Zaire is released as personal transportation equipment for National Geographic elite films team under the cooperation with Michelin.

This vehicle is a unique transforming magnetic wheel system and is based on innovative mechanism as it possesses both frequency abilities and previous wheel mobility. Since it heads towards the hexagonal direction of greenhouse, it has been designed so that more diverse directions can be filmed. In addition, it has been designed in the way that it possesses spacious interior space with very wide left-and-right body and safe unturning position.

Designed for the year 2040 this vehicle solves a mayor problem for every city in the future, space. Only 30% longer than a standard bicycle, P.F.U.V (Personal Folding Urban Vehicle) has the ability of folding itself when not in use for reducing space to a minimum. When folded, this vehicle can be stacked in front of one another for parking.

Most people use a big car for transporting only themselves from point A to B, and cars spend most of the day parked, wasting a lot of space. Utilizing electric motors on each wheel, this vehicle reduces pollution to zero. This is why P.F.U.V transports only one person and folds itself for parking. The chassis is made out of high tech materials, metal ceramics, each hole in the structure is calculated for reducing weight to a maximum without sacrificing the chassis strength.

Gyro has been designed as two wheeled gyroscopically stabilized electric vehicle. User can drive this futuristic vehicle electronically by allowing necessary movement from its high-tech cockpit. GPS, Bluetooth, internet, everything can be operated from a touch screen or voice command. Inside this car, you are connected to the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Future technology incorporated inside Gyro allows the driver to move forward, backward, and sideways. This car responds to electronic sensors to keep vehicle in your desired position. This capability has been designed to accommodate transitions between urban and suburban or rural lifestyles. In the more confined space of the city, due to traffic and limited parking space, the Gyro is best used in the vertical position. When the driver leaves the city to enjoy more relaxed and open spaces, the horizontal position is ideal. To further enjoy open spaces, the Gyro includes a bike rack storage component that is capable of transporting 2 bicycles.

Designer : Carlos Pilonieta

The canopy of the Gyro is a thermoformated lexan that utilizes Photochromic glass technology which can be programmed to function automatically or manually. In the automatic setting the glass gradually darkens to provide the driver optimal view in any type of weather and any time of day. If operated manually, the driver controls the amount of light and outsider visibility
