X-Shaped Watch usually doesn’t get good responses from users, but we think this concept is pretty cool. If you are bored with circle or rectangle or hexagon watch design, you might love this concept, it features fresh and youthful design. The designer said that he had been working with different ideas for this watch and finally chose this shape, because it’s unique and unconventional. The LCD watch is able to display time in 2 different ways, the upper half informs you about the hours while the lower informs you about minutes. Which one that you like? We prefer the blue version.

Excelsior Watch Is An Ideal Watch for All Trekkies

Hey Trekkies, you would love Excelsior Watch watch design from Peter Fletcher, the layout looks similar to the iconic one of Star Trek spaceships. Peter Fletcher said that he had submitted several analogue watch design to TokyoFlash in the past but mostly those concepts are too creative and futuristic with no technical details, which make them too difficult to produce. Most of them are technically impossible or required expensive mechanism to work, so, he came up with basic and conventional disc style analogue time piece, similar to Tokyoflash Uzumaki watch.

The time is displayed by 2 analogue discs that describe the hours and minutes (or seconds using 3 discs is also possible), it can utilize similar materials to Uzumaki which then linked to analogue movement. The discs here feature cryptic looking numbers or you can say sci-fi looking font to underline the sci-fi appearance or perhaps the manufacturer can change it into Klingon numbers for more exotic look.

Inspired by Star Trek spaceship designs, this watch has an asymmetrical case where one half of the strap attached on the top of the watch while the other end attached on the underside. This design provides larger internal space for sophisticated mechanism and electronics. The display area is pretty large but thin to avoid any bulky feel and appearance.

The LEDs offer unusual yet familiar look, it’s a nice touch to complete the sci-fi look. So what do you think? Would you wear this watch? or is it too much?

A good design helps us to understand a product, a good design sends a message, Crux watch sends clear message that we are not alone in the universe, we are not perfect as our God. Crux watch reflect a turning point in my life, return to the primordial….

Hour hand turns around imaginary circle. Better say, when it turns, it doesn’t touch the visual parts of Cross. Minute hand is long and goes to the end and represent hope. Hands are deep inside the watch, so do we have to be inside ourselves to be able to find Faith, to find ourselves.

This concept project enhances rapid manufacturing to create shoes especially for you, not only to your foot contours but also how your move with it.

Based on researches that pair user behavior, data acquisition, and rapid prototyping, this company has created a method of mass tailoring products. In this project, they focus on shoes.

How to create shoes that perfectly for you? Simply throw on trainers outfitted with pressure sensors and accelerometers and go for a run. Once the device collects all data, you can bring them to the store, upload it and with a series of algorithms, the store will develop shoes that fit you and the way you move via the 3D printer. In fact, by enhancing the algorithm further, the technology might design shoes that improve your running form.

Analog watch is not the style of Tokyoflash, but if they decided to make one, I would like to see Cassini Analogue Watch concept. Designed by Samuel Jerichow, this concept watch splits time display into 2 sections using several ring segments. It works just like traditional analog watch but nothing says traditional about this cool design.

There are 2 groups of 4 ring segments where one group to inform you about the hours and the other group for minutes. Each group consists of 4 half ring segments, with a little cursor to point you to the current hour and minute in analog precision. Don’t you just love those thin lines that flow continuously through the straps? Giving this watch an elegant appearance.
