Inspired by the iconic boomboxes, Boompack is an audio-video portable system designed as a rigid backpack. The old boomboxes were heavy and huge, you know, those were usually carried by rappers and breakdancers. Boompack was born out of the idea to provide all urban performers with powerful yet portable source of music and video. What makes Boompack unique? Well, it features a Pico projector that raises the entertainment level to not only music but also images and videos.

The new design makes this device easy to transport, it is ideal to be used while moving around which makes it perfect for street performers. Its composite hard case is impact resistant and water proof, on the backside there is also a docking station that you can use to keep your smartphone safely. Boompack transforms every place in a perfect stage for performers or for anyone who just wants to dance and party together. It is a lightweight, compact and all in one solution suitable for any kind of situation.

In order to increase your survival rate when you’re caught in an avalanche, North Face has released North Face Patrol 24 ABS Avalanche Airbag Pack. The company claims that its ABS airbag system provides 95% success rate in real-world use, it’s a great protection for winter pursuits in the back country as it prevents burial in an avalanche. You can activate the airbag by pulling the handle which is located on your left shoulder strap for quick and easy access because every second counts. Once activated, compressed nitrogen will inflate 2 large airbags to keep you stay on surface of an avalanche, those airbags are highly visible to help speed the rescue process.

Aside from its airbags, North Face Patrol 24 ABS Avalanche Airbag Pack provides function just like any other backpacks. Inside you’ll find internal pockets in the main compartment to organize your gears. Oversized zippers have been designed and developed to resist zipper failure and slider damage, there are a small top pocket and dual hipbelt pockets to keep your snacks or other essentials at your fingertips.

Todays, you can see young generation has fallen in love with photography world, there’s something magical about taking a photo that tells story and captures the essence of a moment in time. It’s a common thing to see people carrying SLR camera everywhere such as vacations, family gatherings or even just simple trip to the park. One thing for sure, many of them are carrying bulky and ugly camera bag, some to avoid looking like tourists, hide the camera into a stylish non-camera bag and wrap the camera with t-shirt. Since they use non-camera bag, the camera might come in contact with other stuff which leads to scratches.

Whaletale Suitcase Provides a Clean Space On The Floor for Your Children to Crawl and Play

Whaletale suitcase offers unique solution for parents when they are in an over crowded airport with children. Parents need to keep their children entertained while waiting for their flight, letting kids play on the floor is not an option as we know airport carpeting or floor is not hygienic. Whaletale suitcase comes with a detachable mat that folds out and become a hygienic space where your children can play, crawl and relax.

Open and spread out this mat a.k.a blanket, parents can use it as a space for changing infants, feeding, or simply to work. This nice concept was actually the result of an assignment on “transformation and transition” project, it would be really nice to see this concept comes to reality, many parents would love to buy this. The Whaletale name itself came from the shape of the mat, in this way, parents can sit on the narrow side with their legs stretched out to surround their kids when playing. Even when folded up, this mat straps onto the underside of the suitcase so that you still can have access to the bag’s content.

The mat itself is very easy to clean, making it an attractive product for a family when traveling. I travel light, but some people don’t, there are people who seem to love carrying everything, everywhere. If you are one of them, Pumpack suitcase would be very handy to you as it contains a vacuum pump that compresses your clothes to create more space.

You’ll be able to find a hand-operated vacuum pump inside the handle, by compressing your clothes, you can maximize packing space. These industrial designers claimed that by using this tool, you can reduce the volume of your clothes by 70%, yep, that’s pretty huge extra space you can use. Once you have placed all your clothes in the bag and zipped up, you can pull up the handle to activate the vacuum function. Rotating the handle changes its function from simple handle to pump.

Puma UM Backpack with Hood by Hussein Chalayan

A backpack with hood? Well we have featured that concept sometime ago from Abraham Peter, but this time, it’s not a concept (at least PUMA says it’s going to be released as their Spring/Summer lines), it’s PUMA UM Backpack by Hussein Chalayan. This backpack features a hood to cover your head from rain, but somehow we love Helix backpack design from Abraham Peter much better. What do you think?

This unisex backpack has been designed with padded laptop compartment (the main compartment features hook-and-loop closure), two-way zip front compartment, several pockets to keep your mobile phone or other gadgets.

We currently live in a world where desire to spend money on products we don’t need is relevant to most people, added to that, everybody wants to have new means and methods that allow design to make our life easier and comfortable. There are not many personal products to make it possible to transport goods from the market to our home and vice versa, without the use of plastic bags or other disposable utensils.

KOALA is a personal cart to transport goods from and to market. The design of this cart aims to be used for short distance of shopping trips which attempts to carry your purchases with the comfort you need, based on our current trends while keeping our environment save by utilizing renewable resources.

Targus Helix Backpack for Young Generation by Abraham Peter

The Targus Helix backpack is a versatile backpack designed for teenagers and young creatives. Just to be clear, this design is not officially from Targus, it’s only a concept proposal for the company. Although Targus is well known across the business consumers, consumer insights showed that Targus lacks recognition in the younger generation. The concept is a minimal approach to the brand capitalizing on the straps and integrating them into the body of the bag, relocated zipper to the side for faster access to your content, adding a hoodie to tie into the lifestyles of the younger generation (image and status), and features a hard outer shell and soft neoprene inner shell with padded ABS protection around your laptop (something not found in current laptop bags.

The color scheme is meant to eliminate all the visual noise found in bags now and is there as a blank canvas for the user to be creative and mark, draw, and customize to their liking. In order for Targus to become a leading brand, it should not rely heavily on mass distribution and should focus on creating meaningful products that cater to younger generation such as Targus Helix backpack.
