In the year 2030, Mazda has taken notice how young entrepreneurs has become a hub for creating personal brands and products on desktop 3D manufacturing software. This is the reason why Mazda has created VMazda, a website where young designers can build, experiment and share their automotive knowledge. Mazda Souga is one of the possible designs that come out from youngster in the future.

This lightweight and minimal sports car design with experimental shapes, dramatically proportioned exterior and ornate detailing will surely entice young riders. Moreover, this electric car can run with similar energy that recent cell phones are using, therefore, users will be able to save a considerable amount of fuel cost.

This 995 Kg, cold-filtered and carbon fiber made sports car will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show to showcase one of the best interpretations of the car manufacturer. Mazda has added few spectacularly unbelievable features with the car to make it cool and get the attention which starts with the high mounted break lights on the roll hoops. The dash elements are made of carbon fiber and hold real toggle switches, even the shift knob has been sliced down to diminish weight and enhance styling of this two-seater supercar.

Electric fields and textures seen in the nature have given birth to Mazda Kaan designed by 6 innovative designers. This electric car is especially deigned to compete the E1 races. In order to reach 250 mph without any harmful emissions, Mazda Kaan uses a sub-level electro conductive polymer that powers the electric cars in a modern world. The design and look of the car is mind blowing. By sitting inside the car, one can feel that victory is for sure. So, let’s see how far this Mazda is going to take its future victory.

[Press Release]
The MAZDA KAAN is an electric race car designed to compete in the E1 races, the pinnacle of international motorsports in terms of technology and popularity. In 2025, California freeways have been resurfaced with a sub-level electro-conductive polymer that powers the electric cars of the modern world. MAZDA’s patented electronic tire system uses this technology to power the KAAN to reach 250 mph with no harmful emissions!

The vehicles are piloted by individual drivers but teams are made up of thirty cars, all on the track together. Using strategies similar to those in cycling peletons, the tighter the group sticks together, the more aerodynamic and powerful it becomes.

Inspiration for the KAAN comes from electric fields and textures seen in nature, particularly those in a lightning bolt. The car is uniquely designed around its powerful electric wheels while the cockpit acts as a capsule to safely house the driver, allowing for tighter peloton formations and a team victory.

In Japanese, Kiyora means ‘clean and pure’ and this concept car truly delivers what it means. It is a next generation four cylinder direct-injection engine which offers amazing fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. Previous concept cars of Mazda were based on shapes like wind and sand whereas Kiyora is inspired by water design. Shape of water gives a totally unique and attractive look to this car. Even when the car is still, it gives the effect of flow and movement. The transparent doors catch one’s attention as they emerge as a flow of water with clean roof.

The new Mazda Kazamai is sure a cynosure to the eyes. The vehicle will be unveiled at the 2008 Moscow Motor show. It’s an SUV concept with the nature inspired styling cues. The literal meaning of Kazamai in Japanese is ‘swirling crosswinds’ which seems to have continued in the design with door panels having subtle lines which look like the lines created in the sand. The front and rear lights seem an extension of this inspiration. The glass roof is an extension of the windscreen and looks very stylish. It also comes with a 22″ wheels with a direct injection engine. Overall it is one hell of a looker.

[Press Release]
Mazda Kazamai Concept to Premiere at Moscow International Automobile Salon 2008

HIROSHIMA, Japan-Mazda will unveil a sporty, compact crossover concept vehicle, Mazda Kazamai, at the Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS) on August 26. Kazamai, which means “swirling crosswinds” in Japanese, expresses the powerful yet nimble image of a stylish and compact crossover. The concept is based on Mazda’s long-term vision for technology development, Sustainable Zoom-Zoom, which aims to provide a unique balance between sporty driving fun and superior environmental and safety performance. Kazamai will be joined at MIAS by the Russian debut of Mazda’s CX-9 SUV, which was crowned 2008 North American Truck of the Year in February.

The Kazamai concept further evolves Mazda’s ‘Nagare’ design language by fusing Nagare’s ‘flow’ design cues with aerodynamic proportions. The design features panel lines inspired by crosswinds in nature which evoke visual lightness. Its bold five-point grille, accentuated front wheel arches and sleek roof line, combined with large 22-inch wheels, lend it high emotional appeal.

Sporty to look at, Kazamai is meant to be spirited and fun to drive, with compact dimensions. Kazamai’s four-wheel drive powertrain will consist of a next-generation direct injection engine and a newly developed transmission. It is also aerodynamic, with an evolved lightweight body structure and enhanced the vehicle safety attributes. Were it to be built, Mazda’s latest show car would deliver exciting driving dynamics, frugal fuel consumption and greatly reduced CO2 emissions.

The Mazda Kazamai promises to be another ground-breaking show car from Mazda Design, winner of this year’s Grand Prix du Design in Paris. Created especially for the Moscow International Automobile Salon, it gives a good indication of where Mazda is going with a possible future compact crossover. And in Russia’s growing automotive market, compact SUVs are the second-largest segment, representing about 13 percent of all new car sales.

Complete information will be made available immediately after Mazda’s press conference at 10:15 a.m. local time, on August 26 at the Mazda stand.

If you are looking at the curvaceous shape of Mazda Taiki, then you should understand the statement of “inspired by the shape and flow of the wind”. The challenge of this concept car is to design a car that visually expresses the flow of the air and atmosphere (called Taiki in Japanese). Now you know where “Taiki” name came from.

Now let’s see about Mazda Nagare concept from Mazda, the word itself pronounced as “na-ga-reh”, this cool car was first shown at the Greater Los Angeles Internation Auto Show, and also as the first series of design concepts that Mazda will show in this global auto show season.Laurens Van Den Acker as Mazda’s new global design director, the team was challenged to invent a means of registering motion in vehicles, and Nagare was born, the meaning of its name is flowing (in Japanese), this design achieves the goal also signaling a fresh design of future Mazda vehicles.
