			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hammacher Schlemmer just got something new in its catalog, <strong>Self Balancing Electric Unicycle</strong> which you can actually buy. We’ve seen many <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/sbu-v3-self-balancing-unicycle-unicycling-isnt-just-for-circus-performers/">concepts about unicycle</a> but most of them are just concept or still at prototype stage, but if you are willing to spend $2,700, you can get a real one from Hammacher. It’s a cool briefcase-sized electric unicycle powered by 500-watt electric motor, perfect for 2 hours ride at 13 miles/hour after 3-hour battery charge (but it also depends on your weight). If you are not familiar with unicycle, it’s a vehicle that keeps the rider at perfect balanced at all times thanks to its gyroscopic sensors.</p>
<p>It’s a small vehicle, ideally for urban commuting and <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/noah-high-performance-personal-vehicle/">suburban recreation</a>. Simply stand on the 2 feet pads and the gyroscopic sensors will detect your feet movements. It can support rider up to 250-pounds, grip the handlebar and lean forward to move or lean backward to slow down the unicycle and eventually stop, yes, just like Segway. The main motor is housed inside a sturdy ABS case, it spins the cycle’s single 16-inch diameter wheel which extends only 4-inch from the main case, so even when you wear leg pants, it won’t snag.</p>

The number of vehicles is the main cause of traffic jam and air pollution, so, in order to answer the challenge to create green and compact vehicle, Amir Zaid has come up with <strong>MUV-e scooter</strong>. It’s a foldable scooter, an alternative transportation solution from an Israeli company. MUV-e is a low energy, cost efficient vehicle, an ideal vehicle to give citizen green mobility in the city.</p>
<p>Amir Zaid established MUV-e company at the beginning of 2012, he’s a skilled automotive designer which has done extensive researches in car design and development industry.</p>

<p>MUV-e as a three wheeled electric scooter allows its rider to maneuver smoothly around the city, the main keys are stability and comfort. The designer claims that this scooter will offer you a greater solution than Segway or other electric bike. It can be folded up easily and turn into a compact suitcase trolley, thus allowing you to drag it smoothly along the way. This scooter is still at development stage, it features 250-watt engine and moves at a speed of 20 KM/h, which is the speed limit permitted by law. It travels between 15 and 40 km, depending on your chosen battery size. The company plans to release this vehicle at around $2000 for entry level and $3000 for premium version with integrated smartphone and fully automatic.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <strong>Tri-GO scooter</strong> features a top speed of 28mph with a range of up to 31 miles equivalent to a 50cc engine. The compact trike scooter comes with a removable 48V 10Ah lithium-ion battery that takes 2 hours to charge from any standard socket from your home or office. The Tri-GO is very compact and light, ideal to squeeze in and out everywhere.</p>
<p>The aim of the concept was to provide <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/mantra-e-mo-stylish-fashionable-and-eco-responsible-compact-scooter/">a new method of transport</a> for people who live and work in cities that travel many short distances. The Tri-GO will prevent people using petrol engine cars as this is a cheaper and more convenient way of transport to use, reducing their carbon footprint.</p>

<p>The scooter has been designed in the eyes of the Fiat 500 implementing the success of the car and into the Tri-GO. The locations of the electric components have been placed for an optimum weight distribution. The Tri-GO scooter includes a brushless hub motor situated at the front wheel and suspension at the front and back for comfort. Braking is entrusted to disks front and rear. Also, a smartphone dock has been added to the handle bar to allow the rider to use a sat nav.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Peugeot Scooter 2++</strong> was born out of the intention to provide two wheeled scooter customers with better safety and storage. These designers had found and analyzed the issues of these vehicles such as storage, safety, theft, and security, they also took into account the constraints of drivers who refuse to ride 2-wheeled vehicles.</p>
<p>Having identified these issues, they have come up with good solutions which answers many questions of safety, protection against stealing and damage, and storage. All these concerns have allowed them to design <em>Peugeot Scooter 2++ concept</em> which is <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/everywhere-foldable-electric-scooter-by-jae-pyung-lee/">a niche vehicle</a>. It has the advantages of a car for storage and protection, but also the benefits of two wheels in size to adapt to urban traffic. This eco-friendly electric vehicle can be one of the solutions for the future micro urban mobility.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Moveo foldable electric scooter</strong> will enter scooter market and revolutionize urban traffic with its beautiful <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/smart-escooter-for-urban-mobility-in-the-future/">organic design</a>. It can be folded to size of a suitcase, very compact and lightweight (25kg without saddle bag). This e-scooter has been designed and developed to meet the needs of mobility in crowded urban traffic, it can reach up to 45km/h and 35km range. Its closed foldable body is so compact that you can easily store or move from one place to another using public transport, it doesn’t require any parking space.</p>
<p>Currently the company is looking for investor to mass produce Moveo. Their mission is to create eco-friendly transportation, just in case you haven’t heard about the company, they were among 50 best innovations by Time Magazine in 2010 for their hybrid concept car, Solo.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Development of <strong>Zyphr Rescue Scooter</strong> was a direct result of identifying the needs of billions of people on earth who do not have quick and easy access to <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/mobile-hospital-features-every-aspect-of-a-hospital-with-lot-more-functionalities/">medical care</a>. The majority of the world&#8217;s population still lives in impoverished areas where it is not easy to provide medical attention. &#8216;Minimal&#8217; and &#8216;practical&#8217; were the keywords while designing this scooter which proved to be the most convenient and accessible way to transport those in need of medical attention. Special emphasis was placed on improved suspension for bumpy terrain, and allowing the stretcher and trailer to be portable for fast access in tight spaces.</p>

Suspensions of this vehicle will be replaced by technology of &#8220;TWEEL&#8221; and additional shock absorbing flexibility within bridge-like construction of the frame. Outer shell of the frame is used as cover for internal mechanism, and as a support for replaceable parts (such as seats and racks) that can be made by rider to suit their needs according to his/her needs.</p>
<p>One of unique features of TCOOTER is the removable motor, therefore, you can use it as as portable generator, very practical isn’t it?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Sway</strong> will make you think twice about movement. Sway combines thrill and performance of leaning into turns just like a <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/search/motorcycle" target="_blank">motorcycle</a>, but this time, you don’t have to worry about falling over like when you ride two wheels vehicle. Currently in the market, we already have tilting three wheelers, however, they are offered in very expensive price and complex structure. This unique sporty tilting <a href="http://www.tuvie.com/phase-2-0-futuristic-vehicle-can-handle-wider-variety-of-terrain/">three-wheel electric vehicle</a> has been designed to meet the needs of a tilting trike that is not complex or over-priced, yet still offers a various advantages over a two wheeler. It was started as a senior thesis of Joe Wilcox and eventually has turned into Sway.</p>
<p><strong>Specs: </strong></p>
<p>At this time <strong>Sway</strong> uses a 20AH 60v LiFePO4 battery pack producing a 10 mile range. In production we are hoping to scale this up to 60AH for 30 mile range.</p>
<p>Charger is a 60v/5a trickle charger that takes around two hours to fully charge from a 110v wall socket. Charge time can be reduced drastically with larger chargers. LiFePO4 batteries can be charged very rapidly if you provide enough juice. Sway will be a street legal moped-class vehicle. Some terrains are better than others, but as you can see from the video, it is very versatile.</p>
