GloBike System : Social Bike Sharing System

The GloBike system concept allows the user to share the bike and their experience with all other members of its internet community. The motto was to promote the cultural exchange and friendship between people from different communities through its online portal and use the bicycle as one of the best green transportation solutions. These bikes can send their exact location to the Globike portal which can be accessed by other users through their Globike device and call the nearest bike for their use. There are two parts of the system to manage navigation, sharing and communication between users. They are the hardware part, a device with a NFC chip that is permanently installed on the bike and the software part is the web portal itself. Globike is an updated version of Freecycle, designed by Cristiano Giuggioli, Stefano Marchetto, Massimo Brugnera and Alessandro Brunello.

Cojoy : Bicycle for Two Persons That Was Inspired By Dual Paddle Boat and A Wheelchair

Cojoy is a bicycle concept for two persons, inspired from the dual paddle boat along with an operational wheelchair, and is designed to offer sheer fun for the bicycle riders. Each rider is designed to control one wheel separately of the bicycle. The seat angle of the concept is totally adjustable by using the handle according to the need of individual riders. It runs straight when two riders pedal at the same speed and when it requires to turn, the outer rider will ride faster than the inside rider. Riding this bicycle requires a good communication, cooperation and a minimum skill.

Mosquito E-Bike with Removable Pole and Ergonomic Design

The Mosquito is a lightweight and attractive concept bike that is designed to get around within the city in a whole new way. This E-bike features electric motor which is powered by lithium batteries which can be charged fully for only 50p. Once charged fully, the Mosquito can run about 60 km at a top speed of 50 km/h. The bike features a removable center pole that has made the ergonomic design of the bike even easier to get onto it without affecting the stats and handling of the bike. The frame cover has made using different materials such as woo, plastic and carbon fiber. Most of the parts of Mosquito are available at traditional bike stores which minimize the maintenance and repairing cost.

E-Board Tracker Bike : A Small, Funny, and Eco Friendly Motorbike

The Eboard Tracker concept doesn’t focus on just a transport vehicle, rather the designer has envisioned it as an eco-friendly, small and funny motorbike that can run at up to 30 mph and ensures better twisting around the corner of the street with its compact and light design. This bike contains hand throttle instead of traditional electric pedaling and features light, simple and optical flowing frame. A beam girder from section-I and hydro-formed tubes welded together in order to strengthen the steering head. The handlebar is shaped like an ace-bar which is fully adjustable and includes a cycle computer on top with speed, battery status and estimated remaining battery capacity readings.

This bike features a very close to “vintage racer” look with its regenerative breaking and a hub battery since they are similar to a set of drum brakes. The chain is swapped for a carbon shaft, bevel drive and nylon hypoid gears enclosed in right swing arm. Behind the pedal shafts, a small six speed cassette type remains hidden and comes operational if the battery becomes flat any time. Both pedals are lockable at 180 degrees and can be used as foot pegs

Urban Bicycle Concept with Folding Wheel System

The compactable bicycle concept was driven from the need of boosting urban space efficiency when it is not in use or being transported. The wheel is made of six modules, each with double pivot in their joints, allowing the wheel to be folded and become smaller. The spokes of the wheel are contained in the internal structure when you fold the bicycle and the spokes rotate to the system’s center where they attach with the center wheel. This bicycle is designed in a double triangle structure made of expandable modules with foldable ability. To keep the structure in position, the system has utilized a special X shaped component that aligns the modules to the exact position.

Victor says :
The Wheel is composed by six modules, each one has a double pivot in the joints, this allows the wheel to fold and become smaller, the spokes are contained in the inner structure of the wheel, when you unfold the system, the spokes rotate to the center of the mechanism where it attach to the center of the wheel.

The double triangle structure is composed by expandable modules, each one collapses to a smaller dimension and then this modules align by the rotation of the axis in the joint of the structure, to keep in position all the structure is used an special part in a form of an X that aligns all the modules to their position.

Peugeot BB1 Combines A Scooter and A Car as Future Transportation

The Peugeot BB1 concept is actually an excellent combination of a traditional Peugeot scooter along with a Peugeot car. The key objective of this project is to offer a car that is ideal for city living and driving on busy traffic. Even with this compact shape, this car can make room for 4 passengers including the driver as a result of efficient interior design. The roof structure can easily puzzle a viewer to be a solar panel or something like that. The innovative horn shaped steering wheel has clearly taken this car apart from other traditional wheel-shaped steering mechanism cars.

M.S.Q.T.O Quad Bike for New Biking Experience from All Aspects

Inspired from the Mosquito, the biker’s seating arrangement has been done in a dominative manner over the road, just like the fear of mosquitoes dominates, even though the size of the bike is competitively small. The color and the aggressive stands of the bike also resemble the shape of a mosquito and to maintain balance over the leg structure, the bike features heavy tires and powerful engine. TFL Bikeshare Network Concept with Foldable E-Bike and Electrical Modular Buses

The TFL Bikeshare network concept outlines an efficient and healthy way to realize the ultimate solution for commuters. This concept comprises a foldable e-bike that can be rode from the home and deposited to modular mobile hub, and board a bus. Upon arrival at destination, another hub will be there to rent another bike through using the unique Oystercard which can be availed by leasing the service on a per trip or monthly basis.

The E-bike has been designed with airless tires, robust tubular construction and shaft drive, ensuring durability, while the luminated front bar and dazzling graphics increase the visibility and safety for the rider. E-bikes have designed to be folded quickly and intuitively by the user and deposit it into the storage modules after arriving to a transit hub. RFID technology has been utilized to charge the users on their Oystercard according to the amount of E-bike rental time. When docked, E-bikes act as hub seating and get charged for the next renter.

Transit hubs optimize the traveler’s transitional experience between renting bike schedule called Bikeshare and boarding on a bus. The hubs provide real time transit schedule by allowing access to the Bikeshare. The Ionic modular design provides the concept with distinctive architectural identifiers all through the cityspace, increasing both the desirability and visibility of city public transit. During the time passengers board on a bus, its ultracapacitors get charged until next stop via a small arm extended from the hub. The busses collect and disperse E-bikes according to demand, effectively diminishing the need of third party distributors.

The electrical modular buses aim to optimize the needs of next generation commuters by providing ultimate convenience for public transit. The specialized interior space addresses the diverse needs of passengers. The compact and ergonomically bended seating arrangement provides a safer environment for seat occupiers and the standing passengers downstairs for short distant travel. Pulse Urban Bike from Teague

Pulse is an innovative urban bike concept formed to meet all the standard necessities of bike commute. This bike features electric turn signals, located both on the edge of each handle and at the rear indicator light, that can be controlled form the handlebars and a glowing frame that lights up when the rider needs it. The specially designed caged pedals of this bike always remain in a “right way round” manner, which allows the rider not to suffer from having to clip into inconvenient conventional upside down pedals. Pulse, with its compact design and efficient functionalities, would be an ultimate transportation solution that is synchronized with the urban denizen needs.

Triclo : Innovative Tricycle Concept for Urban Environment

The Triclo is an innovative tricycle concept, featuring the functionality of a paddling tricycle, while offering the outlook of a futuristic transportation means. This vehicle is designed to make room for one person only and comprises paddles with a convenient sitting arrangement. The Triclo has a steering wheel instead of conventional tricycle handles and an innovative and unique rear wheel setup. It features a shade over the driver that will let the driver protected from the sun and mild rain.

Randall words about Triclo:

Triclo is a conceptual design of what a tricycle can be in a urban environment. It uses an organic forms and contemporary trend. Balance in visual volume and mass. Using arrays and knots was the basis for the formal development and geometric design.

The concept was: low material vs. high volume

The design is targeted for a younger market but can be used by adults too. The idea was to create a tricycle with a diferent look to capture the attention of people and thus encourage exercise. At the same time the concept of design is important to not use much material in the product and reduce costs.

A tricycle is more than a bicycle but less than a motorbike, but this tricycle has almost a cab, this protects of the sun and rain to the user. Therefore, that is its advantage over a motorcycle that somehow is to approach a car. Maybe this way, providing superior comfort offered by a bicycle or even a conventional tricycle, is a way for people interested in using the product and increasing exercise in the population. The design is targeted for a younger market but can be used by adults too.

The materials were designed to be recycled once they finish their service life. There are variety of colors to suit all tastes.
