Here’s an innovative scanner concept with artificial intelligence dedicated for bakery store. In the future, there’s possibility we can find unmanned store where everything is automatic such as a bakery store. Once a customer places their breads on this scanner, the vision cameras and sensors would detect and calculate those breads without any employees needed to supervise.
Designed by Deokhee Jeong, the founder and chief designer of Adaption Design Studio, this AI scanner has been designed with simple structure, a tray and a handle that houses the cameras and sensors. The exterior surface of this scanner is constructed of glossy white plastic to match well with existing POS equipment while the inside of the scanner uses matte plastic in order that light reflection is not severe.
