The Nissan V2G concept vehicle has been designed to adopt with the electrified and ultra-efficient network of the nation’s highways called the ‘GRID’ for the year 2030. This car comprises a dynamic, low cost and quality construction V2G electric engine that is being expected to be the best selling vehicle of that time. The creative young minds of LA’s legendary automotive culture are highly potential considering its simple and user-friendly EV architecture. The organic shape along with great functionality is the key features that will keep the vehicle user segment intact.

Samsung Young Design Award 2009 Finalists

Samsung has organized young design award for the third time this year aiming to find out the creativity of young Italian design students focusing on sustainable and functional digital household solutions to improve the living quality of the future civilization. Following are the 9 finalist projects that was exhibited in the award ceremony held at Triennial in Milan.

PAD is a digital pet family that improves the consumption of energy by monitoring the status of the environment.

The main controller of the ‘Stand Off’ is the accelerometer that can detect the exact location of an object and sends Bluetooth signal to switch the appliance on or off.

The ‘Re-Siker’ system with its two parts has been designed for recycling stations that can pack bags and provides a serial number through one part and the other part informs the user on recyclable items among them and ways of compositing and implementing them in the market.

Intelligent Organizer is a device that solves the electric line over-charging problems.

DNA is a floating unit that can generate continuous and affordable energy from the sun and wind.

Recycle is an exercise bike integrated with energy producing ability.

Light concept can produce florescent and luminescent illumination without using electricity.

E-plant provides easy energy consumption information.

Self Control device improves knowledge and perception of in-house energy consumption.

The Roll Up vehicle concept has been designed to uplift the lifestyle of urban peoples with great outlook and many functional features. The funky and simple bodywork of this single seater car can achieve the attention of all range of people. The canopy of the vehicle looks like that of a jet fighter and contains the dashboard mounted on it. The tires are airless and features four wheel steer with aircraft like steering wheel. Scissors doors are another highlighted feature of this car. This lightweight, functional, fashionable and frugal vehicle can really offer you great fun when driving.

TAB is a dual dining table concept that can save your time and space by featuring different compartments for storing different office usable stuffs. Razy2, a Gdansk based design studio has envisioned this useful home office table where the hidden storage compartments can be revealed by simply pulling the particular section. You can store pens, papers or other small desk articles in different compartments which will allow you to find them out easily and when the compartments are closed, it becomes a usual dining table. The material that has been used to make the table is solid ash which has really made it durable and sturdy.

Pagora is an innovative concept that allows a place to put your bike while getting some rest under a lotus flower shaped spot. The design was inspired from the traditional roofing tile of Korea, yet has been modernize to enhance the appearance and functionality. Pagora features adequate space for racking one bicycle only and the rider is envisioned to be protected from the sun through its beautiful shade that protects only the heat of the sun, not the light. The frame of the concept has been made durable enough through using rigid steel pipes with glossy metallic color.

Thermodynamic Cooler Requires No Electricity

The Thermodynamic Cooler concept has been designed to optimize the high-tech kitchens of the emerging countries. The system incorporates evaporating water cooling effect for preserving foods and requires no electricity which reduces the consumption of domestic energy without compromising comfort. Its stackable design allows it to be used as a substitute of a second fridge, pantry or a sophisticated fruit bowl. The cooler has two pots, one inside another. The space in between is filled with glass-foam, a waste element of the glass recycling procedure, which has made the entire cooler lighter. The inner pot is enclosed with a damp cloth stretched over the lid and the water of the wet glass-foam start evaporating, resulting a radical drop of temperature. This cooler can destroy injurious micro-organisms and preserves the freshness of the inside food. To keep the cooling method active, you need to add water time to time though.

Nissan Land Glider with Innovative Computer Controlled Steering System

The Nissan Land Glider is a compact electric vehicle concept that features an innovative computer controlled steering system, allowing the car lean into the turns for better balance. The driver seat is placed centrally inside the narrow cabin of this two-seater car and another seat for the passenger is located directly behind the driver’s seat. The steering wheel has been designed like a flight yoke and cameras and monitors have replaced the rear view mirrors. The dashboard is one more thing of the car that you have never seen in any other cars.
