Lenee is a useful microwave washing machine concept that can repair organic textile made cloths by themselves, just like the human skin. This washing machine design uses microwave to wash, repair and even change the color and texture of the clothes all operated via a push button. The compact design and unique shape of this washing machine is much unlike to the conventional washing machines and will help the users to maintain a compact living.

Renew Smart Steamer is Made of Recycled Glass and Aluminum

Renew is an innovative concept steamer that features two steam blades to clean and refresh cloths effectively. With the combination of an infrared scanner and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system, this concept gathers information about a cloth from particularly designed clothing tags. It offers comprehensive safety and stop working if an anonymous object is detected. It features an OLED touch screen input taking mechanism that will allow users to operate the steamer and learn about their clothing. Renew is made of recycled glass and aluminum and can save a considerable amount of space of your home interior with its compact size which is only 25% of the current washing machines.

Bosch 360 Washer and Dryer

The Bosch 360 is a washer and dryer concept that utilizes a spherical drum which allows the clothes to be washed in all direction for maximum cleaning. The designers found that front loading machines clean better than top loading machines. But for rinsing, top loading are better because they work with centrifugal force and are more balanced. This is why their design solves both issues in washing. The Bosch 360 also utilizes a spherical shell that flows into a base. This creates a real eye catcher in the store. Once someone sees this round washer they will almost be forced to go look at it. Then they will notice the spherical drum which is the best part. After all if the spherical drum were in a “box” not half as many people would notice it right off.

The control panel is on the door uses digital touch screen technology. This idea is not new but creating a dome shaped touch display is new. When touched, the display lights up to reveal the settings and you just need to touch the cycles that you want to use it. The cool thing about the round shell and dome touch display is that now you have an easy wipe surface to clean.

Baguni : The Integration of Laundry Basket and Washing Machine

Are you tired of doing the same old domestic task every day? Then try out “Baguni”, a washing machine that integrates a detachable laundry basket cum washing drum. Everyone needs a basket in order to collect laundry then the laundry basket is poured into the washing machine. Now, here comes the role of ‘Baguni’ as this laundry basket can be easily placed inside the washing machine and it serves as the washing machine drum. Once the washing process is done, the clean laundry can be detached from the washing machine along with the drum or the basket. Jihyung says : “The average household uses a laundry basket to collect dirty clothes and then when full, empties it into the laundry. But why not take out a step? Just put in the laundry itself!”. Hence, now onwards, you can get rid of the usual process of pouring the laundry from your basket.

iBasket : Futuristic Washing Machine Concept That Sends A Message to Your Mobile Device

Are you bored of your washing machine? Then you might wish to try out this Electrolux iBasket because it will automatically clean your clothes with transparency. It is designed by Guopeng Liang at China Tongji University during an Electrolux 2008 Design Lab Competition. It is a real innovation with great potential to make the process of washing clothes less daunting experience. This laundry hamper will automatically wash your clothes once enough clothes are tossed inside as per the weight. You can also control the frequency of wash cycles. The iBasket will also send you a message on your computer once the cleaning is done.

“Failing to manage laundry and piles of dirty clothes is one of the many daily chores that are left unattended by so many busy people, whose jobs doesn’t leave them with time to take care of them. Whether you have a washing machine in your home or go to the corner laundromat, doing wash is a royal pain. Especially for the i-generation, who had whole hours pass in the blink of an eye, sometimes whole days get eaten up in some black hole and so household chores pile up. With a view to offer a little help, I have designed iBasket – a revolutionary washing machine that could really make life easier.

The i-generation are too busy working for their dreams. What if the whole laundry thing could be forgotten and both time and attention are saved for dream work?

The idea is to use this as a hamper, throwing your dirty clothes in as they accumulate. The iBasket then senses when the load is full and initiates the wash and dry cycle. Since it is Wi-Fi-enabled, you can control and monitor (if you’d like to do so) the concept washing machine via your PC or mobile device. Once the the cycle is complete, iBasket will alert you and send a message to your PC or mobile”

Alternative Clothes Cleaner : Washing Machine Which Allow You to Sit On It

How about the future homes having a dedicated room just for washers and dryers? Designed by Harsha Vardhan from New Delhi, India, this Alternative Clothes Cleaner is a conceptual washing machine which doubles up as a large seat. It has two modes of operation, active and passive, though both allow you to sit atop the unit. No detergent or water is required, as either — the inner chamber acts as a pressure washer and also cleans the clothes with ionized air which means no drying, too. So one unique way to conserve water when the same would be in less quantity.

WashUp, Reuse Waste Water

Going green also means saving water. Do you know that we use around 150 litres of water for a washing machine ? After that, the water will go down the drain just like that, when we actually can reuse it. “Washup” is a conceptual design integrating washing machine with toilette-flush. It suggests a sustainable water consumption by storing the wasted water in toilette-flush tank and reuse it with flushing. Moreover, “washup” brings a solution for the problem of location of washing machines in small bathrooms, overlapping washing machine usage space with toilette usage space. It is fixed on wall upwards toilette, so that loading of clothes would be easier for the user without bending or crouching. A special interface including three semi-sphere control units & two flushing buttons is designed for a practical usage of the product. “Washup” is a green product offering solutions for the problems of standard washing machines.
