Cojoy : Bicycle for Two Persons That Was Inspired By Dual Paddle Boat and A Wheelchair

Cojoy is a bicycle concept for two persons, inspired from the dual paddle boat along with an operational wheelchair, and is designed to offer sheer fun for the bicycle riders. Each rider is designed to control one wheel separately of the bicycle. The seat angle of the concept is totally adjustable by using the handle according to the need of individual riders. It runs straight when two riders pedal at the same speed and when it requires to turn, the outer rider will ride faster than the inside rider. Riding this bicycle requires a good communication, cooperation and a minimum skill.

Tea4Two is a portable concept electric tea kettle that can prepare tea for two persons at a time, one with its inner container and the cap of the kettle will act as a tea holder for another person. The simple and nice looking kettle offers great user friendly operating with only one functional power button that will switch on the kettle and will be switched off automatically once the tea is ready. The glossy body is made of highly durable and heat resistant plastic that can easily be cleaned with wet cloths.

Viu : 3 Wheel Electric Concept Car for 2 Persons

Viu is a futuristic concept car that has been designed with a living feel and has given the sensation about not only its aesthetic like a motorbike, but comprehensive safety of a 4 wheeled car. This lighter and smaller vehicle comprises more aerodynamics to make it more efficient and environmentally friendly with its 2 electric engines that never emit anything bad at all. The sporty and technologic outlook enables wheels, suspension or rear suspension to be seen in action from the driving position inside. Moreover, cameras with the floating rear view mirrors, air side intakes, aggressive LED front lights and carbon fiber elements have given the car an innovative and dynamic image.

The interior of VIU was designed aiming the needs of the future users by serving as a living means of transportation. The design of the dashboard stimulates the eye with two lateral LED lights that indicates an efficient driving meter and a tachometer. The 1+1 sitting arrangement of the car offers the exciting movement of a motorcycle together with the safety of a closed car. As the road turns, the car cabin inclinates with the turn and the back seat rotates following the turn to offer maximum driving excitement to the driver.

Up the drivers seat, there is a fan to blow on the drivers back and shoulders to motivate him and to provide an excitingly fresh environment during the hot season when moisture accumulate on the seat, another air fan is there to dissipate the moisture. The steering wheel is actually a drumming pad, which can jam in the speakers when the user drums on the wheel spontaneously. This extremely cost-effective vehicle will cost five cents only with Eneloop batteries for one month, eight hours a day use.

The Barista : Portable Espresso Maker

The Barista is a handy espresso maker, designed specially for home use to enhance and simplify the user experience both indoor and outdoor. Unlike the usual espresso machines, Barista allows multiple persons to take part in the experience of coffee making and consists of brewing unit, a docking station and five espresso cups. When in docking mode, this machine is attached to the wall outlet and performs like a conventional espresso machine. When in portable mode, the coffee beans remains pre-grounded and the water is kept into a thermos pre-heated in order to enhance the portability of this machine and avoid unnecessary energy consumption.

The Reason Why
In Sweden, inviting friends over to one’s home for coffee is a very common social gathering. During my research, I found that people who have espresso machines don’t use them during these social coffee gatherings but serve conventional coffee instead because it’s more simple, more time efficient, allows easy refills, and it brews at a touch of a button which doesn’t take the host away from the party.

The making of an espresso beverage is a procedure that is traditionally taken with much pride and joy. Originating in Italy, espresso drinks have grown popularity all over the modern world. I wanted to create an espresso machine that will allow all participants to experience this procedure of creating their own espresso drink, rather than the host being in charge of everyone’s beverages and be left out of the conversations. And the procedure should be simple enough so that all people, regardless of knowledge of espresso making, can use and enjoy.

How It Works

Docking mode
The barista espresso machine consists of a docking station, brewing unit and five espresso cups. One of the main features with the Barista is that it allows multiple users to be in charge of their own espresso brewing, instead of just only one person in conventional espresso makers. To enhance the portability and make it easier to carry, the Barista works in two modes, carry mode (collapsed) and brewing mode (raised). The Barista is connected to the wall outlet when in docking mode, and functions as conventional espresso machine, where beans are grounded for each individual cup in the kitchen.

Portable mode
To make it portable some task are divided up to optimize the power consumption; the coffee beans gets pre-grounded in the kitchen and the water is pre-heated into a thermos at the same time to eliminate unnecessary energy consumption. Collapse the brew unit by pressing down the top part, to raise it, give the handle a push and the machine will raise by itself to brewing mode. The turning top allows the users to access the machine from all directions. Place cups on the tray and rotate the turning top part to move the nozzle over to the other cups.

This innovative idea attaches the two siblings to each other in a back to back position in a way the allows only one of them to move ahead, while the other one remains neutralized and being pulled by the previous one. In this way, the 2Sibling can be used as a vehicle for 2 persons or as two tiny vehicles for city use, or as a vehicle of all-terrain. This 2Sibling vehicle will provide sheer fun to the riders of the city car and give a multipurpose solution for many people efficiently.

Nikita Buyanov, an industrial designer, has uncovered few outstanding concept laptops combining Intel and HP. HP Eco has been designed for echo issued persons. This laptop includes bar-code reader, solar charge cells and a bracelet for controlling blood pressure, pulse, and many more. HP Nobag has touch sensor with hard OLED technology, ideal for those who don’t like to carry big bags for laptops. HP Fitness serves the weight control purpose most, also comprises a similar bracelet to keep record of work out sessions. HP Make-up has a button that changes the screen to a mirror and has an on-nail printing device. HP Mama will allow parents to monitor their children with two Bluetooth cameras. HP Chameleon is a concept laptop with an adaptive microcell coverage enabling the laptop to be transformed in its surround background. Finally, HP Perfume is conceptual laptop where you can change your laptop to a lamp or air freshener with ability to download smell samples and mix it with smell matrix of HP Perfume laptop.

Colim Concept : A Cool Combination of A Car and A Caravan Camper

The new vehicle design by Christian Susana is a nice combination of car and a caravan camper. Christian has called it Colim (Colors of Life in Motion), which might not win many points on looks department, but still is quite useful given the kind of flexibility it offers. Colim provides the advantage of detaching the front part if one does not have a usage for the home part. Design wise it reminds more of geometric shape, which one can say to be a welcome change from the regular designs, but the designer has really explored a possibility using different shapes which may pave way for better shaped cars.

The designer says : “The Colim concept – an acronym meaning ‘colors of life in motion’ – is an intelligent mobility concept which stretches primarily the bridge between caravans, camper, lifestyle and business. Dubbed a ‘lifestyle motor home’, the cockpit can be disconnected from the usable living space. The livable area is flexible, with individually applicable multi function modules. Designed for two people (max. four persons), the motor home offers the possibility to personalize its four mobile ‘walls’ according to the present life situation of the user. This flexibility is not only limited to the living area, but also features in the cockpit.”

With more and more research being done for providing better means of transportation and maintaining the fine balance between space and economy, CLEVER or Compact Low Emission Vehicle for urban Transport, a concept vehicle that is 3 feet wide and runs on compressed natural gas is a perfect vehicle for urban driving. Just as cool as T-Rex 3 wheeler concept design, CLEVER is greener with a low emission three-wheeled vehicle and a capacity to carry two persons; thus an ideal vehicle for the working couples with no kids. It is expected to go into production and hope that it sure shall cater to the needs of average working family.

Jive, Communication Device for The Elderly

Jive is a communication device especially designed to get elderly technophobes connected to their friends and family. How it work, Jive uses friend passes to link a physical persons ID with digital life. A user simply links a friend pass to there friend feed account. This will then seamlessly update all of this data onto betty. If the users want to find out more specific details about a person, they can just place that persons ‘friend pass’ onto the screen. The screen will automatically know who that person is, and upload specific updates about that person. No more mouse, just simply put the the avatar onto ‘betty’s’ display to operate Jive.
