BeoTime can make every morning an enjoyable one with its discreet own chime or customizable wake up sounds from your favorite radio station, TV program or a piece of music and can be switched off at a preset time when you are leaving the house. It also includes a built-in sleep timer which is able to switch all the Bang & Olufsen apparatuses in the room to standby mode after a chosen time interval of up to 120 minutes. This feature is very much convenient for those who want to stay up late to watch TV, or fall asleep with a preferred music without worrying about turning off the music. Aside from the alarm and sleep timer features, you can use this gadget for basic functions of the bedroom loudspeaker, television or light control.

The ease of handling and operating of BeoTime is really noteworthy; you can hold it in one hand and can operate it with your thumb. The built-in tilt sensor shows the information and button functions modify orientation as per the BeoTime is held by the user.

BeoTime is a magnificently polished and anodized aluminum tube, with a trumpet-shaped button that protrudes from one end when you will activate the alarm by pressing it. The tube’s other end comprises a cover that conceals the battery chamber for three batteries that can last around one year. Two rubber feet ensure steady footing to BeoTime when lying on the table and the almost unseen magnetic wall brackets are used to mount it on the wall. The square navigation button along with three separate displays with dark text on a vivid background performs the navigation when setting the alarm time.

“In my research, I found that 97% of the iGeneration owns a computer and 75% are on Facebook or other social networking sites,” says the device’s creator, Adam Brodowski, a design student at Savannah College of Art and Design in the U.S. state of Georgia. “I also found that they are all hypertaskers who do multiple things all at once. Eating dinner, text messaging, doing homework and watching TV are all strung together.

“They are also very comfortable with technology and the Internet. They run personal blogs, surf the web all day long, email back and forth and so on. Most importantly, they enjoy creating content to fuel the web and be noticed.”

All Units: This shows the various units of the Sook off the dock and ready to be used.

Docked: Shows all of the Sooks parts docked together. In this form the Dock and Touch can still be used.

Sook Touch: The Sook Touch is used to display and drag ingredients to build custom recipes. Ingredients are added when the Dock or Cut understands food near it. This then gives the user a bank of items to incorporate into there meal.

Sook Cut: The Sook Cut a cutting board containing a moisture sensor, weight sensor, and electronic tongue. It uses these sensors to identify what food is bring cut on the board and how much is being used. It then transmits this information to the Sook Touch to begin generating a recipe.

Sook Dock: A picture of the Sook Dock. Along with charging the Sook Cut and Touch the Dock works as a RFID scanner to identify what foods are near it, be it new groceries it can use for meals later, or food that is being set out to cook something currently.

This flash capable device displays everything from channel listings to elaborate menus, and manage the whole house – like turning on the microwave oven or dimming the lights. Also the touch screen is very roomy. The frequencies set is right and if the product company provides the required support, the device can customize graphically the interface for the product.

Though still in the conceptual mode, it might be a while before the same might seem the light of the day. But all said and done, this one device is sure going to be a hit amongst all the Lazy Gizmo Freaks!

Alpha is composed of two slender elements joint by a frame in chrome tube within which the special wirings are pulsing. A choice which comes from the rejection of the assumed bidimensionality of common LCD screens, always supported by a cumbersome pedestal, and which focuses on a new layout with the capability of containing the space required by electronics and DVD player.

Take a look at the remote control, it is really eye-catching, you can feel the quality of the entire product the moment you hold it in your hand. The material’s used for this futuristic TV is die-cast aluminum, not metalized plastic. Beautiful !
