The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 with its 3.2” touchscreen has been officially unveiled after its sleek-looking predecessor X1. If you consider dimensions, the latest X2 is close to its previous version; however, it’s lighter than the X1. The X2 features a redesigned keypad just like that of a netbook and reveals by sliding out the upper portion. The 8.1 megapixel camera is one of the major upgrades of X2. The custom panel interfaces have been enriched with fourteen preloaded and sixteen more downloadable ones. Besides, it is the debut of Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system as default on a Sony Ericsson handset.

This is a G1 phone designed for Google by two San Francisco designers, Mike and Maaike. This is a unique phone using the Google’s open source operating system called as Android. The handset is quite stylish and has a 3.2 inch touch screen and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. This phone also incorporates a compass that helps you to navigate Google maps by turning the phone. G1 is produced by Taiwanese manufacturers HTC and is also available on T-mobile. The only advantage or unique thing that this device has is the ease of Google into a mobile phone.

All the keys are fitted for human factor. User can use every function without additional movement e.g. switching hand position, switching visual point. XPERIA X1 marks the launch of a new brand for Sony Ericsson company, this product is hoped can gain attention from slider phone lovers. Featuring 3 inch wide VGA display, 3.2 mega-pixel camera, slider-design body, touch screen, and full wide-pitch QWERTY keyboard. This probably the next iphone rival. No one mention about any price just yet, we can hope to see XPERIA X1 in the market around second half of 2008. Let’s hope so !
