The Veritas RS III has either a BMW sourced 480hp V8 or a 600hp V10 engine and therefore, the car achieved the incredible 0-100km/h acceleration in just less than 4 seconds. Top speed of this car has been recorded over 200mph and the price will start from $375,000. Both the front and rear view of this car is brilliant and quite confusing as a speedcar. This left hand drive car has room for only the driver and the seat is also placed quite in a distance from the hood. There is only one rear view mirror, placed in a wired position, in the middle of the car just beside the driver. Placing the exhaust pipes has been done quite weirdly too, on the car’s backside just over the branding.

B&D Messenger for Users with Visual and Hearing Impairment

The new B&D messenger is a revolutionary device designed for users with visual and hearing impairment, enabling them to communicate easily with the regular cell phone user. The basic working of the device is that it is connected to computer and the internet which translates Braille to text and vice versa thus sensing and receiving SMS to the normal user. While for a visually impaired person, the device comes with two options such as the messages can be delivered in Braille format or the same can be read out aloud depending upon the mode one chooses while for the hearing impaired it can be used as a normal cellphone for reading and sending text messages. There are several already made Braille products existing in the market. However, other than heavy and large in size, most of them are also highly priced. B&D messenger was designed to solve these problems. We intended to design following aspects: Cost effectiveness and Functionality. General Braille display or TTY system that are available right now are too expensive in price. To reduce its cost, B&D Messenger is built with an open source platform, Arduino and Processing. Currently, in order to keep the price low and affordable, a basic B&D messenger still runs by a connection to a computer, however if the user seeks portability a wireless connection can be made by ordering an optional Bluetooth module that can be easily attached on to the micro controller. In addition, by running under the Internet, no cost will be needed for sending and receiving messages. Small and Light. To accomplish this objective, all of the adopting materials we choose are lightweight. The triangle shape is chosen to be consistent with the other existing devices and the design was limited in accordance with the LCD size. Do-It-Yourself. A new, light sport aircraft manufacturer, ICON Aircraft, started with the vision that planes should be designed with the consumer in mind first. Founded out of Stanford Graduate School of Business by Kirk Hawkins, an accomplished engineer and former U.S. Air Force F-16 pilot, ICON Aircraft conducted years of thorough research to develop an industrial design that has evolved to become ICON’s first model, the ICON A5.

With the rising fuel prices, Montreal has come up with the solar powered docking system and a high tech RFID tagged aluminum bikes that are turned into complete theft disaster. There are six bikes and six docks in each station. Users can take any available bike and then return it back to any other dock. The payment can be made via Credit or Debit Cards or any other member cards. But one thing that stuck in my mind is what if there is no dock station available for a drop off?

The new Volkswagen GX3 reverse trike concept vehicle. This car is designed in California and this is something you will have a crush on. This vehicle achieves an awesome 10hp/lb power to weigh ratio by attaching a 125 hp. 113 ft-lbs and a 1.6 liter engine along with 1200 pound frame. This car is perfect for a couple. Don’t worry about the speed; it just takes 5.7 seconds to accelerate from 0-62 mph. It has a top speed of 125 mph.

The best thing about this car is that it promises 47mpg. This car can be owned after paying a price of 17000$ to Volkswagen. Looking at the design it looks similar to a sports car. The front wheel outside the solid steel body gives it a sporty look. A combination of white and black used in the car is an all time favorites. The rear turbo wheel is broader than the front wheels and provides just enough support to the car and helps it to maintain a perfect balance through out. A decent car embedded with all facilities will give a pretty good ride.

Another innovative design concept from Nokia, the morph concept. Featured in The Museum of Modern Art ?Design and The Elastic Mind? exhibition, the Morph concept device is a bridge between highly advanced technologies and their potential benefits to end-users. Developed by NRC (Nokia Research Center) in collaboration with the Cambridge Nanoscience Centre (United Kingdom), Morph is a concept phone that using nanotechnology which enables materials and components that are flexible, stretchable, transparent and remarkably strong. Users should be able to transform their cell phone into different shapes.
