Stone In The Creek : Wall Basin Mixer Concept Saves Water In Efficient Way

Stone in the Creek is a wall basin mixer concept that can radically reduce the amount of water wastage during everyday use. This useful concept has two modes, one is Straight flow mode and another one is Side flow mode. Water flows straight as usual when it is in Straight flow mode, which releases water fast and in high volume, ideal for pouring water. On the other hand, the Side flow mode offers larger surface area of water than Straight flow mode but fewer volume of water flowing per second. This mode is ideal for rinsing large objects or washing hands.

Stone is common element that is found in creek. Stone and water always exist together. Stone is hard and strong; water is soft and transformable. Stone’s strong nature acts as a counterbalance to water softness. They are good partner in the nature world.

Creek is a platform for water stream to move into different ways. Without a large rock or stone blocked in the creek, the water stream move in smooth, regular and strong. When some rocks or stones are in the creek, the water flow is blocked. Then, it moves along the side of rocks. It moves in irregular and weak.

To apply this idea to develop the concept of the tap, the Dish of the tap represents the creek. When stone is pulled up, the water flows straight. When stone is pushed down, the water flows is blocked and spreads along the side of stone.

The Stone is act as “on and off” function. When the Stone turns anti-clockwise, it releases water. The Dish is water temperature control. When it turns anti-clockwise, it changes hot water. When it turns clockwise, it changes cold water.

Pouring a mug with some drink is often quite difficult for blind peoples. Generally, blind people gets an idea of how much they have poured by the sound of water flow, but this is certainly not an efficient way. The Bell Mug helps blind people to pour themselves a drink securely without spilling. The handle of the mug contains three different levels to choose from as per the user’s requirement. After selecting the level, the user will start pouring the mug. The device contains a built-in sensor to determine the current water level and will make an indication sound from the speaker when the water reaches the desired level.

To get the feel of being drenched in rain you don’t have to wait for monsoon showers always, if the new shower head by Fornara Maulini is any indicator. Named as Ecco Sharade, this humongous shower heads promises to give you the feel of a rain right in your shower rooms. These shower heads are liberally sized quite similar to having a cloud right on the top of your head pouring down water for you. In the future, don’t be surprised to hear this sentences like “Pour your data on the table” or “Pour your data into my cup”, because if this Cup PC concept becomes reality, sharing your data can be as easy as pouring water from your cup. The concept of “The Cup” is inspired by people’s common behaviors in everywhere and every moment. Especially, usage of cup is one of the most general and daily behavior. In offices, home, even at shops, we can see and use them. In the future, the usage of computer will be more intuitive and simple than now. People will not need to learn how to use PC and the computer system will have effect on behaviors of user’s everyday conduct, like using a cup.
