Triclo : Innovative Tricycle Concept for Urban Environment

The Triclo is an innovative tricycle concept, featuring the functionality of a paddling tricycle, while offering the outlook of a futuristic transportation means. This vehicle is designed to make room for one person only and comprises paddles with a convenient sitting arrangement. The Triclo has a steering wheel instead of conventional tricycle handles and an innovative and unique rear wheel setup. It features a shade over the driver that will let the driver protected from the sun and mild rain.

Triclo is a conceptual design of what a tricycle can be in a urban environment. It uses an organic forms and contemporary trend. Balance in visual volume and mass. Using arrays and knots was the basis for the formal development and geometric design.

The concept was: low material vs. high volume

The design is targeted for a younger market but can be used by adults too. The idea was to create a tricycle with a diferent look to capture the attention of people and thus encourage exercise. At the same time the concept of design is important to not use much material in the product and reduce costs.

A tricycle is more than a bicycle but less than a motorbike, but this tricycle has almost a cab, this protects of the sun and rain to the user. Therefore, that is its advantage over a motorcycle that somehow is to approach a car. Maybe this way, providing superior comfort offered by a bicycle or even a conventional tricycle, is a way for people interested in using the product and increasing exercise in the population. The design is targeted for a younger market but can be used by adults too.

The materials were designed to be recycled once they finish their service life. There are variety of colors to suit all tastes.

Shocker Chopper is a motorcycle shaped bicycle that has been designed by the creative minds from Team Tentakulus which will give you a better impression like riding a bike without thinking of the expense on gas. The main difference of this straightforward bicycle from other conventional bicycles is the bulky, bike type tires. Riding the bicycle is a fun experience but the rider should be careful when driving since there was no indication about the brakes so far. This pure, plain and simple two wheeler vehicle doesn’t contain much ado and will surely be an eye catcher and appreciable by all range of people.

Cherry Electric Transportation Design with Carbon-Fiber Plastic Body

Cherry is an innovative way of transportation concept which is neither a bike nor a bicycle but still can offer the similar functionality with more facilities. Inspired by the natural shape of Cherry, the front part of this concept is bigger since this is the motion producing part and the rear part is at the minimum dimensions which results comfortable ride and lighter and smarter outlook. This vehicle will offer you less energy requirement, strong performance, balance of three wheels, pleasure of motorcycle, adjustable driving position and customizable parts. It will provide you reduced maintenance cost because of the few and simple parts and zero emission and no pollution due to the plug-in batteries and electric motor.

Cherry will offer easy control using the throttle and the break lever and requires very small place to park. By using lightweight elements such as small battery and carbon-fiber plastic body, this vehicle weights around 40kg or less only and can be carried anywhere easily. The high torque of the electric motor, lightweight design and strong grip via three wheel drive has made it a big performance vehicle. The designer envisioned this vehicle as a transportation solution for every person in future world when space-efficiency would be one of the biggest concerns among mankind.

Hybrid Individual Transport for China in 2020

Jamie Tomkins was challenged to create non-emission vehicle for this high and increasing populated country that meets the needs of urbanites as well as complying with Chinese government policy. After a research trip to China, Jamie developed vehicles based on a future concept of the city – the Beijing Boom Tower which is designed into three tiers or social classes. On the top tier live the wealthiest residents, in the center are the middle-classes, and at the bottom live the working class. A vehicle for each level was designed.

Jamie Tomkins took on the bottom level and looked at the ubiquitous Chinese bicycle as a starting point for his design. His hybrid bicycle has a metal and plastic frame with plastic detachable parts that can be changed to create a unique style. The use of plastic means the hybrid is lighter and with interchangeable parts it is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
