Caravan Design That is Inspired by Airstreams and 50s Style

This innovative caravan was designed aiming creating something exceptional from the plain boring white boxes around and to recapture some individuality yet have the minimum resemblances to identify it as a caravan to potential buyers. The design is inspired by 50s style and highlighted by whitewall tires, wheel covers, the sleek airstream shape, aluminum band and shady windows. The modern and sophisticated interior features a separate bedroom located above the living area operated by electronic pop up roof and a movable ladder allows accessing the bedroom located at the end of the kitchen. Moreover, a standard sized bathroom, a hygienic kitchen and a fold down rear docking area have made the caravan really an extraordinary place.

The Barista : Portable Espresso Maker

The Barista is a handy espresso maker, designed specially for home use to enhance and simplify the user experience both indoor and outdoor. Unlike the usual espresso machines, Barista allows multiple persons to take part in the experience of coffee making and consists of brewing unit, a docking station and five espresso cups. When in docking mode, this machine is attached to the wall outlet and performs like a conventional espresso machine. When in portable mode, the coffee beans remains pre-grounded and the water is kept into a thermos pre-heated in order to enhance the portability of this machine and avoid unnecessary energy consumption.

The Reason Why
In Sweden, inviting friends over to one’s home for coffee is a very common social gathering. During my research, I found that people who have espresso machines don’t use them during these social coffee gatherings but serve conventional coffee instead because it’s more simple, more time efficient, allows easy refills, and it brews at a touch of a button which doesn’t take the host away from the party.

The making of an espresso beverage is a procedure that is traditionally taken with much pride and joy. Originating in Italy, espresso drinks have grown popularity all over the modern world. I wanted to create an espresso machine that will allow all participants to experience this procedure of creating their own espresso drink, rather than the host being in charge of everyone’s beverages and be left out of the conversations. And the procedure should be simple enough so that all people, regardless of knowledge of espresso making, can use and enjoy.

How It Works

Docking mode
The barista espresso machine consists of a docking station, brewing unit and five espresso cups. One of the main features with the Barista is that it allows multiple users to be in charge of their own espresso brewing, instead of just only one person in conventional espresso makers. To enhance the portability and make it easier to carry, the Barista works in two modes, carry mode (collapsed) and brewing mode (raised). The Barista is connected to the wall outlet when in docking mode, and functions as conventional espresso machine, where beans are grounded for each individual cup in the kitchen.

Portable mode
To make it portable some task are divided up to optimize the power consumption; the coffee beans gets pre-grounded in the kitchen and the water is pre-heated into a thermos at the same time to eliminate unnecessary energy consumption. Collapse the brew unit by pressing down the top part, to raise it, give the handle a push and the machine will raise by itself to brewing mode. The turning top allows the users to access the machine from all directions. Place cups on the tray and rotate the turning top part to move the nozzle over to the other cups.

Cooking is one of the most tedious jobs on Earth. But an aesthetically pleasant kitchen can reduce the pain of cooking as you feel like being there for longer while. Aurora from Electrolux has come up with a kitchen top which is ideal equipment for the modern designer kitchens. The classic white kitchen top has smooth rounded edges. The middle part is flat and accommodative enough for the cookware and other stuffs. The appearance of this kitchen top is absolutely minimal and will never show up like the heavy conventional tops. It will add an extra elegance and grace to the entire appearance of the kitchen.

Saeco Xsmall, An Automatic Espresso Coffee Machines by DesignWorksUSA

The latest coffee maker design from the house of Saeco seems to be a winner, right from the word “go”. It is in continuation with the last revamping that was done for the entire line of coffee machines along with the design arm of the BMW group. It has been dubbed as Saeco Xsmall, and is the smallest of its model. Overall the product has design elements of its previous products i.e. Primea, Talea & Odea. The interface of the product is quite user friendly, with a centralized knob. Also the color combination that has been incorporated by the designers is quite contemporary and surely will find many takers.

Xsmall machines have been designed to satisfy a public of young managers and career women, highly-evolved and urban consumers who live in major cities and in small homes, but who enjoy a dynamic lifestyle. Accustomed to optimizing space and time, the “new yuppies” favour functionality and essentialness in the appliances they buy, without having to surrender anything in terms of design, high performance and quality.

They spend much of their time away from home but this does not stop them creating a “homely nest” in which to enjoy quiet moments of personal pleasure: “islands of relaxation” within their frenetic and stressful daily lives. Kitchen Scale Design with Sensory Mil Weight

As they say good things come in small packages, the new kitchen scale design seems to have taken this adage. This cute little masterpiece is something which can be said to be a necessity that all modern kitchens should have. As mentioned, design wise it’s small and compact thus does not take much of a space, also it can measure in both grams and calories and does the necessary exchange. Also it can tell time as well, it perfectly goes with the overall idea of giving maximum output using minimum space. Something all of us believe in, isn’t it?

The body functions as a measure when it is taken out from the weight panel. It can tare, show the time and make gram/cal exchange. It provides smaller space for storage that weight panel and the body are pulled through each other. It facilitates weight process and interface usage that control panel and weight panel are placed apart. The aim is to provide maximum usage facility in minimum space. By means of sensory mil weight, it measures the moment of the approaching surface and exchanges it for unit of measurement. Interface consists of three buttons and at the same time these buttons are used to set the hour data. When the part on the lower panel is to be folded, it is positioned on the coaxial gap on the acrylic part. The orange-colored circle is a visual complement that ensures us placing the things to be weighted on the very middle point.

Hue and Funny, Design of Future Kitchen

Your home can never be completed without a kitchen therefore nothing is more important than a well-furnished, well-equipped and systematically designed kitchen where you cook delicious meals for your family everyday. Enex has come up with their “Hue and Funny” Kitchen, which they have claimed to be the future of kitchen design. It proposes a new paradigm for modern kitchen where relaxing space to rest and a joyous space of entertainment can be.

It is a new design with the idea that a sink does not always have to be rectangular. Coming from the beautiful curve of a seated woman, it minimizes the bottom cabinet to design a countertop that seems to float in the air. Built-in entertainment equipment, including TV and audio, create a future-oriented multi-functional kitchen which you might have seen on a Sci-Fi movie.

This curvilinear design breaks away from the conventional concept of design and creates a liberal island kitchen that has no restrictions in space and moving. It creates a fun entertainment space for the whole family. It does not distinguish front from rear and allows use of countertop and cabinetry from both directions. The top cabinetry rotates 360°. You may even customize the island to eliminate the top cabinetry to fit your needs.

Roots Cooking Kitchen for Better Chinese Cuisine Preparation

The Roots Cooking System was designed to not only give Chinese-Americans a better, more specialized way to prepare traditional Chinese dishes. This system includes cooking elements better specialized for the needs of Chinese cuisine. The Roots System imitates both traditional and contemporary Chinese design in order to provide aesthetics that parents as well as kids can find interesting. While having modern aesthetics with traditional undertones, the Roots System also gives parents a vehicle for passing on traditional dishes and methods to their American-born children.

Dining in 2015 with Eco Cook

In 2015, environment problems from energy will become more and more serious. I believe that everyone�s life will be concerned. Thus kitchenware will be modernise to reduce energy consumption. My eco-cook is an object that helps to save water, energy and time. Everyday, everyone, has to cook pasta, rice or various vegetable. Therefore different pots are needed. In a unique pot, the eco-cook enables to divide 2 or 3 space and to boil different food at the same time. Thereby, water and gas or electricity is saved. Moreover when food is taken out the eco-cook, it will automatically drain out, allowing to win precious time. In 2015 I also believe that most people will always be in a hurry. The eco-cook design permits to help 2015 people that pay close attention to energy and time.

Single Person Cooker (SPC) : Compact Cooker Design

Designed by Alex Bradley, SPC is a smart cooker for people who are living alone and hate to prepare their own meals, they prefer junk food. This compact cooker goal is to encourage people in bedsits and bachelor pads to prepare healthier meals. Combination of a hob, chopping board, utensils and a WiFi-enabled screen (futuristic cooker, huh?) to make users easier to access recipes from the internet. As one of Concept Product Competition Finalists, hopefully this Single Person Cooker prototype can win the competition.

The Intended user is primarily the single person and or commuter, where time is precious and preparing a meal is more of a chore than an experience to be savoured. Families, with busy schedules could benefit, together with wider ranging demographics.

Taking styling cues from current trends the concept aims to deliver a contemporary take on kitchen appliances and remove those initial semantic values associated with kitchen appliances, to give an air of ?what is that??

Looks like we have more choices for our kitchen in the future, modular kitchen by Fevzi Karaman is still a concept, hopefully this compact cooker by Alex Bradley can be mass produced.
