The design of this car is inspired mainly by all the iconic and traditional figures of SF. The very “American” design has a perfect touch of elegance and sophistication with a deep black and shiny silver color combination and a unique appearance from both front and rear end. The lightweight construction of Mytho has been achieved through using recyclable materials. The car features modern technologies like GPS and high speed internet connectivity that ensures the rider a safer and more convenient driving experience in new places.</p>

<blockquote><p>The MYtho, is a concept car designed to be simple, but at the same time sophisticated. With inspiration from vintage cars, like the woodies, i was able to find a sustainable design solution for the side panels, which are made of compressed wood also the whole body is made of aluminum, in order to be recyclable.</p>
<p>The &#8220;tech&#8221; factor is in it&#8217;s OLED displays, build-in solar cells, and HUD display&#8217;s for the driver.</p>
<p>The form of the car is very simple, like the hot rods from the 30&#8217;s. The open wheel design, the huge front grill, and the low profile of the car, are just some indicators of this.</p></blockquote>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>London Garden is a concept car free zone in downtown London allowing bicycles and busses only as transportation means. In this connection, the designers have created an innovative transportation system combining a bike and a bus including the supporting infrastructure.</p>
<p>The bicycle is designed to generate energy when riding and this energy can be used as currency to pay for your bus rides. The bike electronically folds into the bus seat storage mode for space and weight efficiency and to fit on the bike stand. Bike stands can be found at the bus stops where the bikes will be stored securely in order to collect energy from the sun and wind. Moreover, it contributes energy to the bus system that was generated during riding and stored in inner batteries. Finally, the energy will be accumulated from all the bus stops into the London Garden network system, which is the Universal Electricity Network of this concept.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Transport Efficient 2020 is a concept vehicle that offers two different modes for driving as per requirement. First one is City Loader, a stylish and compact vehicle that can be employed for short distance city use to effectively drive through busy traffic. This vehicle is powered by electric engines and gear hub drive and the energy is stored in metal air hybrid batteries that can charge via plug and ride. On the other hand, the AirLiner mode offers long distance transportation and comprises several superconductive magnets that produce frictionless levitation to allow the vehicle hover above the street. An embedded rail in the street produces an electromagnetic field for this operation.</p>

<p><strong>Airliner</strong></p>
<p>This long distance transport vehicle is actuated by superconductive magnets. Superconductors produce frictionless levitation avoiding any mechanic resistance. The vehicle hover above the street. The superconductor is cooled down by electric condensers so the particles of the material nearly stop moving. A rail embedded in the street creates a magnetic field which will be written in the superconductors, positioned at a set distance from the magnetic rail. No mechanic fixation between rail an vehicle will be required. The electromagnetic field generated by the rail also speed up the vehicle. The magnetic field is only generated under the moving vehicle and wont be of any danger for other moving vehicles crossing the rail.</p>
<p>The airliner consists of a drivers cab and several modules which float autonomously, so the shipping volume is expandable. If no cargo is carried the drivers cab ally with the closing module to reduce the volume. At a logistic centre close by a freeway and a city, the cargo gets unload, stored and upload to the cityloader.</p>
<p><strong>Cityloader</strong></p>
<p>This compact transport vehicle is designed for distances up to 400 km and the city traffic. It is powered by electric engines and wheel hubs which can be recharged via plug`n`ride concept at the logistic centre or city stations. A modifiable loading space allows a wide spectrum of use.</p>

The riding position of this eco friendly vehicle can be adjusted as per the rider&#8217;s requirement and one fast movement can turn the vehicle into a trolley from a motorized trike that you can drag or store anywhere. The rear wheel houses an eco electric motor that charges the battery as the front wheel turns and harness energy that is lost in breaking to charge the battery. A luggage compartment is located in between the battery and the motor where you can store your necessary stuff. It comprises a strong, lightweight and eco friendly polycarbonate structure that can be recycled several timers over using low energy.</p>

Whether you want to run, walk, roll or drive, this transportation unit will let you to move the mode you want to move. The vehicle has four wheels and, can fit and adapt the body of the rider easily in an effective way. When the user decides to drive it vertically, it will stand on its rear wheels and can run keeping you standing. The vehicle features a removable windshield for the driver to protect from wind and rain.</p>

This impressively timeless and elegant piece of sports gear boasts a consistently modest design, inspired by the earlier S 333 tubular-steel-chair. The minimalist outlook of this chair has been achieved by using lightweight, durable and clear materials. The S 333 is consists of few components only, they are, a couple of runners at the side and one bar at the frontage of the seat that works as tension frame simultaneously for the seat made of open-mash and weather-resistant fabric. The toboggan can be compressed for storage and car-transportation, and when transporting up to the mountain, it can be carried as a backpack.</p>

This one seater concept car has three standard configurations, compact mode for busy city use, constricted mode with banking corner action and pick-up mode for carrying larger volume supplies in more efficient way.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>EyeStops is a concept device for bus stops which will allow the passengers to do a lot more activities than just sitting idle and wait. The <a href="http://senseable.mit.edu/eyestop/">SENSEable City Lab of MIT</a> has designed this solar-powered booth that are outfitted with touchscreen displays that will show necessary information like bus schedules or the shortest route for a certain destination. Even more, you will be able to browse the web, check the air quality, see the exact location of your desired bus, interact with a mobile device and use the booth as a community message board to post announcements and ads. On top of that, this booth will surely change the appearance of a traditional bus stop.</p>

<p><strong>MIT unveils EyeStop: an iPhone‐like interactive bus stop for the City of Florence</strong></p>
<p>May 14, 2009. MIT architects and engineers have unveiled EyeStop, an interactive bus stop designed for the city of Florence. On Saturday 16 May the project will be presented officially at the Genio Fiorentino by the President of the Province of Florence Matteo Renzi (dubbed ‘The Italian Obama’ by TIME Magazine).</p>
<p>EyeStop, developed by MIT’s SENSEable City Lab, is an exploration into the next generation of smart urban furniture; it aims to enrich the city with state of the art sensing technologies, interactive services, community information and entertainment. The project is partially covered with touch sensitive e‐INK and screens, so that it can deliver information to people seamlessly. Users can plan a bus trip on an interactive map, exchange community‐relevant information on a digital message board, surf the web, monitor their real time exposure to pollutants and use their mobile devices as an interface with the bus shelter. “Interacting with EyeStop could change the access to urban information in a similar way to how the iPhone has changed our mobile life” commented Carlo Ratti, Head of the SENSEable City Lab at MIT.</p>

<p>At the touch of a finger users can indicate their desired destination; the system will then display the shortest bus route from where they are and the position of all relevant buses real‐time. The EyeStop will glow at different levels of intensity to signal the distance of an approaching bus. Riders and passers‐by can also post ads and community announcements to an electronic bulletin board placed on the bus stop, enhancing its functionality as a public space ‐ a place to gather and exchange community relevant information.</p>
<p>In addition to displaying information, the bus stop also acts as an active environmental sensing node, powering itself through sunlight and collecting real time information about air quality and the urban environment. “EyeStop is an experiment into urban computing: it may be considered an “info‐tape” that snakes through the city, rising up like a pole or cropping out of the sidewalk like a shelter. It senses information about the environment and distributes it in a form accessible to all citizens” – commented project leader Giovanni de Niederhousern.</p>

<p>A generative parametric model produces a unique design for each bus stop, providing both optimal sheltering for users and maximum sunlight exposure for direct photovoltaic powering. Unlike the typical mass‐produced bus stop, EyeStop is designed to fit the physical characteristics of its surroundings, with each unit being slightly different from the others. Furthermore, simple materials like shiny steel, extra clear glass and gray local stone (pietra serena), together with its minimalist design, serve to optimize how it blends into the historic urban fabric of Florence.</p>
<p>“Since the Renaissance, there has been an interplay between the physical form of the city (urb) and its citizenship (civitas),” added Carlo Ratti. “Today’s technologies are adding new possibilities to that age‐long relationship, thanks to the addition of digital information to physical space. It is as if a new materiality were emerging in architecture, with the seamless blending of bits and atoms…”</p>

MODE from <a href="http://www.pacific-cycles.com/">Pacific Cycles</a> features integrated folding (IF) technology that features an automatic, single action fold without the help of any other tools. The IF technology is mainly based on a 4-Bar, 3-dimensional linkage that guides the wheels together automatically when you are trying to fold the bike. Once folded, MODE takes a shape of a convenient wheeled package that you can easily push around.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The concept design today is not just restricted to the ones running on the road but designers today are coming up with exciting designs for both modes of transportation, be it on air or on water. These also include the designs aimed for leisure and pleasure, on these lines come the &#8220;Jetbike&#8221; designed by San Francisco based designer Norio Fulikawa. The concept looks hot as it can be said to be the racing bike of water because it is aerodynamically designed and has an awesome exhaust pipe and two fins to support its surge forward. All in all an awesome concept!</p>
