The 2030 Honda’s luxury sports sedan, Zeppelin Concept, was designed with a design direction of “High-tech Dynamic”, inspired from an airship. The feeling of mass has been completed by applying design elements of aerodynamic form from an airship, and on top of that, expressed the distinct powerful image of Honda. Especially the asymmetrical main character line extends from the front hood along the roof line, to all the way back at the rear end. Hexagonal front grille and thick nose volume and the protruding horizontal lamp completes the dynamic face.

The interior was also inspired from the airship, reminiscent of a cozy salon or a first-class seat of an airplane. There is no dashboard in Zeppelin. All the necessary information and other elements needed for driving is displayed on the inter panel of the car, and everything is controlled with only the minimum physical movement due to the use of voice recognition technology. The seat position can be changed freely. That front row seat can rotate 360 degrees and so when the car is not moving, the front row seat and the back row seat can face each other. This makes it possible for a brief meeting, enjoying tea and even working in the car, which could also provide a new experience to the family or a fellow passenger. Due to the display environment on the windshield it was possible to use the angle of windshield and the shape of the A-pillar as a design element of the exterior without any restriction.

“SENTORI 58R is a flybridge motor yacht, with three decks, a length of about 18m and a displacement of 28to.

The general exterior- design language of the vessel is mainly inspired by automotive design, using surface tensions and automotive, coupe- type key elements.

Exterior features: on SENTORI 58R a part of the windshield is acting as a door and guarantees direct access to the sunbathing area at the bow. directly below the sunbathing area the fender compartment is located which is accessible by opening the whole cover. Further more there are features such as a splitable, loweralbe bathing platform, a very low equipment carrier and a skylight-wetbar element on the flybridge deck.

Interior design and main features: the design language of SENTORI’s interior mainly uses floating elements which deal with the different levels and stairs harmonically. in general, the idea of modern and loft-like living on the sea was the foundation of SENTORI’s interior concept. Besides, the purpose was to gain a maximum of variability. SENTORI is able to serve rooms on demand: the guest cabin is not only a bedroom but can also be connected to the owner’s state room to extend the living area if wanted. therefore it can as well be used as an office, providing a desk and lounge.”

Luxury racing arrives in the Formula Zero Racer by incorporating the thrill of Formula One, the track dynamics of the bobsled or luge, and the grace and efficiency of yacht racing.

Reminiscent of the Mercedes Benz racing heritage of the 1930’s, the Formula Zero Racer is loaded with technology designed to extract the maximum thrust from the electric hub motors, aero-efficient solar skin and high-tech rigid sail.

Each team is allocated the same amount of stored energy and it is left to the teams and drivers to manage the variables to win the race. The winner is determined by total elapsed time combined with the energy efficiency factor.

Spectators at the Mercedes Benz Formula Zero racing Series are treated to a new dimension of racing as the transparent track is visible from all perspectives – even from below!

IFR Automotive reveals track car

A new sports car boasting luxury fitments and high performance has been announced by engineering consultancy IFR Automotive.

Known as the Aspid, IFR has sought to create a track car with everyday levels of usability and, importantly for cars like this – reliability.

It’s also a technology showcase for demonstrating the company’s design and engineering capabilities.

Aspid prototypes feature a 2-litre engine; either naturally aspirated to deliver 270bhp or supercharged to 400bhp.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a manual 6-speed gearbox and limited-slip differential.

Use of aluminium and carbon fibre has resulted in weight of just 700kg and the resulting 570bhp-per-tonne power-to-weight ratio enables 62mph (100km/h) in 2.8 seconds and 100mph (160km/h) in 5.9 seconds.

“The Aspid has been engineered to deliver a high level of driving pleasure,” says company founder, managing director and automotive engineer Ignacio Fern?ez Rodriquez, whose initials give IFR Automotive its name.

Formerly with Prodrive, Rodriquez subsequently joined the Mitsubishi World Rally Championship team as race engineer for Alister McRae and Fran?s Delecour.

Rodriquez founded IFR Automotive in 2003 and began work immediately on the new sports car project, while handling confidential car and commercial vehicle assignments from industry clients.

With a long list of options, and each one tailored to the precise needs of each individual customer the anticipated base price is £75,000 and upwards per Aspid.

The car will be displayed at the British International Motor Show in London docklands from Wednesday 23 July to Sunday 3 August 2008.

Inside the Cirbin V13R’s cockpit the side-by-side seating is roomy enough for two average-size adults. A grab bar helps during entry and exit. The V13R also features adjustable seats including headrests and adjustable pedal positions. For the instrument panel the V13R uses the Harley-Davidson V-ROD’s electronic Instrument Cluster. This is positioned in the center of the dashboard and tilted slightly toward the driver.

Under the front section of the V13R is the cargo compartment. The waterproof cargo space is large enough to carry personal items for a weekend away. If more cargo space is required optional color-matched side cases can be fitted.

The Zeydon Z60, an offshore yacht of the 60-foot class, combines the sailing performance potential of an offshore yacht with an ‘uncompromising’ range of equipment and the elegance of a modern luxury cruiser. DesignworksUSA was incorporated into the conceptual work during the initial phase of the project. It is believed that partnering in the project from the very beginning ensures that all requirements – both for performance and luxury – can be incorporated with minimal compromise.

The main goal of both the concept and the design of the Zeydon Z60 was to eliminate the ever-increasing contrast between offshore yachts and luxury cruisers.
