FLUID is More Than Just a Tap

With ordinary taps, you may have to bend down your face or use a cup to rinse your mouth which is so inconvenient. Keeping this fact in mind, FLUID has been designed which is being considered as more than just a tap. When you will push down the nose of FLUID, you will be able to wash your hands and pushing up will lead the water upward with greater force. As a result you can easily rinse your face or simply drink some water. As you increase the pressure on the nose both up and down, the pressure of water rationally increases and water will stop in the level position.

Solar Decathlon Wet Shower is the outcome of industrial design students in association with architects and engineers. This is an ADA approved and energy efficient shower concept for all range of users. Important features of this innovative creation are bamboo or wooden floor with a base of steel frame, Tera LED lights, Kohler sink and faucets, Kohler Water Tiles, accessible fabric storage, retractable shower head and many more. The designers made intensive field research, empathic modeling, ethnography research, observations and surveys to make their final design an extraordinary one. Through ideation and sophistication of this concept, the final outcome will be more surprising.

Kohler Crevasse Prep Sink by Anne Kitzmiller

For all the people who find it a hassle to do rinsing, and disposing garbage, designer Anne Kitzmiller has come up with Crevasse Prep Sink. The sink has been developed in collaboration with Kohler kitchen design and engineering group, it controls rinsing functions and garbage disposal synchronization. It uses a unique technique to develop a safe interface which can be activated by human touch, thus eliminating any chance of activation by accident by a pot or a pan. A constant blue glow indicates the rinse cycle, and the synchronized garbage disposal cycle is indicated by a flashing blue glow.

Designed by Nicholas Paterson, Kohler offers the opportunity to save water and reduce sewage and maintenance costs while also providing outstanding performance and stylish design to users. Once the liquid waste has passed through, the less dense sealing liquid maintains its position at the top of the trapway, thus providing an impermeable barrier that blocks odors. Quote from the website : “The geometry of the urinal not only provides a fresh, architectural design, but also virtually eliminates splashing. Additionally, the touch-free operation improves hygiene for all users and is more vandal-resistant due to the absence of a flush valve”. I think these are going to be used in all bathroom somewhere near in the future.
