Burst is a concept projector phone designed to boost the functionality and mobility of the conventional touch phones. Burst can project images onto any type of flat surface from projectors mounting aside with its specialized software to deform and compress the touch space display. The touch screen performs just like the traditional screens, but the operation takes place on the virtual projection space. Burst can project HD interactive full color touch spaces showing applications and menus, that opens in a lower touch space. Audi Daysailer concept is the first step of Audi beyond their usual car range, crafted by an Austrian Applied Science Student, Mark Klug. The main goal of designing this product was to create a powerful yacht that contains vibrant features as well as excellent and attractive look that can allure anyone. With this brilliant project, the designer has created a clean and simply readable, but still sporty and expensive image for Audi Daysailer, even as filling the form of the German automakers philosophy of yacht making. This 15 meters long and 21 meters high yacht will surely be a plus in the automotive design world.

Sphere : House Design for Emergency Accommodation

This is a type of housing specially designed for emergency accommodation. These are made of fiber glass and plastic that increases the durability and helps them last for a long time. These spheres consist of nineteen tents with an open space in the middle. The inner walls are made up of fine, air-permeable materials. These tents can be occupied by three persons generally though the detachable wall may allow bigger families. The open space permits all the families to gather together that allows them to communicate with each other which becomes very essential psychologically for those who have faced and survived disaster.

People in disaster areas need more than just housing. Both physical and psychological needs are often neglected. People find themselves displaced from their familiar environment and dwellings, and they are often traumatized. In this situation, individual survival becomes a priority and can result in brutalization and societal decline. The concept behind Sphere not only considers taking shelter from extreme weather conditions but also re-establishing feelings of security and companionship without a loss of privacy. The centre of Sphere has been conceived as a social place, where the inhabitants can constitute a community – a circle.

This place offers the opportunity of regaining contact with others, cooking and simply getting together in a social way. In this way, every Sphere becomes a germ cell for a community.

Every Sphere contains nineteen tent units that can each accommodate up to three people. Partition walls can be unbuttoned in order to create larger units for families. The inner layer of the tent is made of light, breathable material. This layer is independent of the outer layer, which consists of hard-wearing canvas. The stakes are made of fibreglass and plastic, and guarantee the stability of the whole construction. The design as such is long lasting and can be recycled if required.

It’s amazing now seeing the jaw dropping designs and concepts that Honda brings forward. Honda V4 concept has come up with a deadly sports bike that proposes a new bike design direction for the brand. This model is designed to indicate the beginning of a new era. The bike has V4 engine and it is clearly shown in the design. The hubless wheels are fixed with all-enveloping cowls which most likely assist in reducing drag. This stylish and futuristic sports bike concept was exposed at the 2008 Intermot bike show in Germany. Overall, this bike is going to offer a new look to all the bike riders with excellent performance.

Go Green with Loremo LS : A Sporty Low Emissions Vehicle

The car industry realized that they need to pay more attention to the serious demand of green vehicles. And in 2008, I’m pretty sure that we’ll see plenty of new concepts and vehicles that will change the way we move around.

Loremo LS is based on the concept that by reducing weight, one can increase the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. Safety is not a problem, the company is confident that the steel cell construction method provides the vehicle with a solid rigidity and enough of a deformation area for it to be safe to drive around the city. The design of the Loremo impresses. It has a very unique body shape, giving it clear individuality. Furthermore, rather than having two side doors for the drivers to enter the vehicle, there is a front wing door which swings upwards and to the front, allowing access to the vehicle.

A large contributor to fuel inefficiency is the sheer weight of a vehicle. Loremo AG, a German car corporation, has used this as the inspiration for the Loremo LS, a sporty, low-weight, low-resistance vehicle that according to the company will boast the lowest emissions for any vehicle ever.
