The exterior desing of the car is inspired by the form of fabric blown in the wind. The form also carries traces of the historical Auto Union Type C Streamline race.

There are no conventional doors on the car, but instead, inspired by the jet fighters, there are three glass canopies. The main canopy opens forward together with the steering wheel and the dashboard; the two passengers’ canopies open backwards; and a side panel on the bodywork opens downwards to act as a step, making the event of getting in and out of the cockpit very special and easy.

The interior is simply one continuous sheet, starting from the dashboard, then being folded and bended to create floor carpet and seat.

The interior of the car is as simple and futuristic as the exterior. Single sheet transparent LCD dashboard displays all the essential data such as speed and mileage. The screen in the center of the steering wheel displays digital map. The information can also be projected on the canopy by a head up display. The
whole driving experience would be like flying a fighter jet. There is a small but handy luggage space behind the driver seat for handbags and suitcases. It is also an arm rest for the passengers.

Four wheels are housed inside the car’s four “legs”. Each wheel contains an Audi In-wheel Electric Drive Unit, making the car an evolution in Audi’s trademark “Quattro” all time four-wheel-drive system. The long range Supercharge-ion battery which powers the in-wheel motors are separated into two packs located in front of as well as behind the cockpit, creating a perfect 50:50 weight distribution of the car for excellent handling.

The powertrain of the VW has been furnished with two-cylinder, turbo-diesel 39-hp engine with a 14-hp electric motor. Besides, the car comprises a stop/start mechanism and a dual-clutch seven-speed transmission through which it can quickly reach 100 mph, while dropping the fuel economy to an extraordinary 1.38 liters per 100 km.

Aerodynamics of the front-wheel-drive L1 is optimized by a two-seat layout where occupants can seat in a row. Therefore, the car is relatively long, extremely slim and quite low comparing other traditional cars. The body is made of carbon fiber, making it lightweight of merely 838 pounds.

The angular bodywork of this vehicle takes inspiration from both superbikes and modern architecture which results this unique vehicle, from both in aesthetic aspects and highly functional body panel mechanism. The body panels are independently attached onto the vehicle with hex-head bolts and can be replaced easily when damaged. The tires were designed to form a contrast by combining digital technology and dune buggy paddle tires, and both the alloys and tires are interlocked to create a strong image.

Raptor is based on an exposed carbon fiber chassis that provides closer sense of speed to the occupants, whilst providing comprehensive safety. The cantilever roof offers an unrivalled view from the front seat, giving a close panoramic view of the landscape. The vehicle is powered by Lithium-Titanate batteries that can be recharged through a standard wall socket or dedicated high powered outlets. It features unique “hot-swap” battery system that allows the user to replace the batteries easily and quickly.

Bushbunker represents a concept that has been designed from scratch specifically as a bushfire bunker, and comprehensively engineered to withstand the severe environmental conditions that a major bushfire produces. It has been designed for maximum survivor ability no matter the intensity or type of fire.

A series of two fire doors is used to separate the entrance/storage area from the bunkers main interior to provide a fail safe, and to create an air lock which protects against the infiltration of radiant heat through the first steel fire door. This is an extremely important design feature, as some of the most severe burns to Black Saturday fire survivors were caused by radiant heat.

To outfit the interior, the design makes use of standard off the shelf components such as steel fire doors, steel frames and sealing, bench seating, compressed air cylinders, battery powered electric lighting, storage shelving, water drums, UHF radio and EPIRB, and fire blankets and first aid. This in turn allows for flexibility in the design, and reduces costs.

The Bushbunker has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults for an extended period when equipped with compressed air cylinders. These air cylinders also have the additional feature of providing a positive internal air pressure inside the bunker making it impossible for noxious and poisonous outside gasses and smoke to enter.

Hanging above each seating area is a series of refillable standard 20 Litre water containers which provide a gravity fed source of clean water for drinking, cooling and first aid purposes.

Due to its standardized size and modular construction, and depending on the site conditions of a home, the Bushbunker can be specially incorporated into the structure of a house or home, free standing, set into an embankment or partially or totally buried underground.

This is a flashlight designed for those in public service. (police / emt’s) I spent a great deal of time researching the environment which this would be used along with the individuals it is designed for.

The flared head elegantly opens the lens for an elliptical beam of light. This profile is easily removed and placed into the holster without being snagged or stuck on the form. The elliptical pattern of the light matches human peripheral vision. By utilizing this shape, the user can be more aware of their surroundings with a smaller light. It takes full advantage of the natural night vision of the user and enhances it.

The flashlight has 2 power switches. One on the tailcap- and a 3-way on the barrel. The 3-way switch is used to select the light mode- Green, Red and super bright white. The green light is very useful in chaotic / emergency situations such as a car accident. The green light prevents night blindness while still permitting the user to identify colors which can be extremely important ( blood vs oil). The red light is less visible to others and used for a low profile stealth situation. The red light- and elliptical beam simply enhances the users natural night vision to give them more feedback on their surroundings and more control. The super bright white light is for common use of the flashlight- as well as situation control by creating night blindness for a person that may be a threat.

The 3-way power switch allows for immediate selection of the color mode without cycling. The switch on the tailcap controls the white light as a constant-on (press to click) or a ‘blink’ on for quick flashes controlled by the user.

The rubber grips are very important. They 1 keep the users hand off the metal which could be cold especially in the winter. The grip has a cut-away shape filled with thin strips. This shape makes less cumbersome for female users with smaller hands to have complete control of the tool. Also- at the end of the cut-away, there is a tapered lip. This lip provides a great security during the ‘cigar hold’ by providing the user a stop.

Due to the nature of limited advertising to these groups, the logo and name are permanently molded on the flashlight itself through the grip features. This creates a strong brand identity. The rubber is also receded from the very tip of the lens area, revealing more metal. This is so it may still be used as a weapon in emergencies, causing enough damage- or creating enough time so the user (police) can access a better more sophisticated weapon for the situation.
