Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 with 8.1 Megapixel Camera is Lighter Than X1

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 with its 3.2” touchscreen has been officially unveiled after its sleek-looking predecessor X1. If you consider dimensions, the latest X2 is close to its previous version; however, it’s lighter than the X1. The X2 features a redesigned keypad just like that of a netbook and reveals by sliding out the upper portion. The 8.1 megapixel camera is one of the major upgrades of X2. The custom panel interfaces have been enriched with fourteen preloaded and sixteen more downloadable ones. Besides, it is the debut of Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system as default on a Sony Ericsson handset.

Multi Pen : 3-in-one Device for Diabetic Patients

Multipen is a 3-in-one device consisting injection of insulin, blood sample taking needle and blood sugar measuring unit. Generally, diabetic patients have to carry those individual instruments in order to keep the sugar level in control. With this elegant multi pen, all these necessary items can be obtained in one instrument. Besides, you don’t need to carry extra needles and strips since the pen resides up to six of each. One end of this device has a blood sugar measuring unit with digital display that also shows the total injected amount of insulin.

Nicolas explanations about the device:

One end has a measuring device for blood sugar (carrousel solution: 6 strips) and digital display for blood sugar measurements. Horizontally above this is a small “window”, which digitally displays the amount of injected units. At the other end is a needle for taking blood samples (carousel solution – 6 needles) and an insulin injection needle at the same side.

The pen has the same shape and appearance as any other usual insulin pen although somewhat broader at he “display” in order to make it easier to see the figures on the display.

iMo is The Next Generation Urban Vehicle

It is quite evident that with the passage of time the designs and shapes of the vehicles, commonly used by people will change drastically. They will become environment friendly and also much safer than the current ones. iMO is a great vehicle that is designed to accompany the users as it seems alive with the insertion of several organic parts. It is round in shape and available in colors like yellow, blue, red and black. They have a transparent shield to cover the interior which makes it a fully secured car. The wheels are small, smoothly polished by immensely efficient at the same time. iMo is only a student project for Coventry University with no commercial means.

Amongst other originalities, iMo features form-changing seats and wheels made of Nitinol and a holographic gesture-recognition driving system.

Rosaline, Elegant and Smaller Vacuum Food Saver Design

Until now, people preserve the following type of food in refrigerator in a vinyl bag; however, the freshness of the food did not last long even if its kept under freezing temperature. As a solution to this, some company introduced vacuum food keeper. These machine were worked well in an American home environment. Nevertheless, this product was wasting a lot of vinyl bag, and the bulkiness were not suitable for both European and Asian home environment. Due to its size and functionality, the product needed major improvement for them to globally successful.

Jongho Nho has designed a vacuum food saver with new, elegant and smaller size called Rosaline, an improvement to classic vacuum food saver. This product has won RedDot Award 2008.

STRUCTURELAB S1 Sunshade System

I know that this website is supposed to be about futuristic things stuff, but when I saw this sunshade, I can’t help but posting it here. The shape of SRUCTURELAB S1 is so cool, a free-curved sail revolutionizes the world of umbrellas. This S1 umbrella is very elegant and light, it can create unique atmosphere day or at night (effectively illuminated), perfect design of outdoor spaces and sun shading solutions.

STRUCTURELAB S1 was developed cooperatively by architects and membrane-engineers, aimed at the creation of an unique and extraordinary design object. Designer kitchen is the order of the day. Exclusive kitchen and customized solutions is something every one wants to see. With houses and buildings being extension of ourselves, we all want that our living spaces speak volumes about our personality. Be it our living room or our kitchen. Also anticipating the gadgets keeping in mind the lifestyle to be lived, how about a question to ponder as to how will our living spaces be in future? What will be modular kitchen of the future? French Designer Ora-Ito comes with Gorenje, a concept or idea of his version of kitchen of the future.

Clear and simple lines, it is a prototype of design with the cube and the rounded angles. Purified and elegant, but such an ultra space technological. For the Gorenje mark this kitchen tendency is also a technological window. The kitchen of the future Gorenje was nominated in early January 2008 to compete at a price of the best design products that have marked the previous year organized by the magazine Wallpaper.

One finds the last innovations of the mark in term of electric household appliances like the cooking surface to induction tactile along with the refrigerating, furnace and mural hood design. In short, thanks to Ora-ïto’s design, the kitchen of tomorrow is already there. Well with this design seems like Gorenje already has a winner at hand.
