Domo : Touch Screen Digital Camera Concept

After being introduced by iPhone, many other competitors of the electronic industry have utilized the outstanding multi-touch facility in different gadgets. Domo touch camera probably would be the first camera with this feature. However, this project is still in the design lab and not much information has revealed yet, but the compact, sleek yet simple design of this camera would really be appreciated. This camera features single click shooting and the photo pops up just after taking the snap for reviewing. When you are viewing the photos from the internal memory or from the memory stick, they can be navigated by finger dragging and to view a photo in full screen, just tap the selected one.

The widespread of e-books or electronic books have forced the gadget designers to produce some handy devices that may overcome the hassles and inconveniences associated with reading in a monotonous computer screen. Therefore, e-book readers, one of the most useful creations of recent world, have been introduced by several manufacturers with many different functional features, so that the reader can feel like reading a paper book. Most of the e-book readers feature portability of handhelds along with a higher resolution screen to ensure readers convenience. The average size of a good quality e-book reader is almost as an average size paper book and weighted only a few hundred grams.

E-book readers always keep one thing common that is a very high definition display and the entire surface area is almost occupied. Few e-book readers are available in only black and white colors but there are many supported with full color display capability. The main advantage of e-books is you don’t have to worry about your encyclopedias, technical documentations, catalogues, brochures, magazines and comics to get aged. Moreover, e-books are updating continuously and since most of e-books don’t kill your storage device with a gigantic volume, you can store a previous version documents easily.

This e-book reader also has a remote control for page flipping. You can flip pages using thumb on the remote control or touchpad on the frame of the e-book reader.

The device for efficient time management has designed in a way that resembles with an elegant cigarette case and the original functionality is quite hard to realize without checking out the duel touchscreen LCD. This intuitive time management device has been designed to enable users to make the most of their time in a simple way. This device is able to act as an electronic schemer book where users can organize their tasks in both a calendar and a list method. When you will hold the device horizontally, it will work in calendar mode and you can work on it in list mode if you hold it vertically.

There are three different textured outlines on the outside surface of the device; plain, matt and stripped. Moreover, you will be able to synchronize this device with you PC through USB port or a docking system that is available in five different colors. This device turns on instantly when opened. This gadget includes an analoguefeel and features accelerometer that enables the interface to be extremely intuitive. Braille E-book is a conceptual design of a digital and portable e-book reader, developed by Korean industrial designers. This is quite certain that by seeing the design, everyone will admire that this gadget is really necessary for reading e-books. However, e-books of Braille compatible version are not much available in the market because of the higher price. EAP is the mother technology that can develop special patterns on the plastic surface by raising those elements with an electronic signal. This unique technology used by Braille E-Book can translate the content into Braille.

The electronics market today is more and more concentrating in designing products that are not just good to look at but also possess other features like, being light weight, thin, wire less, water proof and also shock resistant. This technology is termed as nano-technology which surely puts the old adage that good things come in small packages, hence this technology which is still in its nascent stage as there is still research happening and more features being added and developed, it will be good for 3 to 4 years before we can actually see the technology affecting our daily lives.

Massimo says :
Electronics should be user-friendly and eco-friendly, cheap and standard. Some products will have only 2 dimensions. If you want 3rd dimension is possible use packaging technology (boxes) or glued printed electronics sheets or print directly on surfaces of 3d objects. Philosophy of product designer is going to be more near to fashion designers or graphic designers: products think as dress, using ribbons and sheets.

Transparent and thin means not only invisible electronics but you can also customize it with your creativity. Help and tutorial “how use it” are visible on the products’ surface. With “artificial muscles” inside is possible move, vibrate or open printed sheets. Using surface’s treatment like gecko’s paws is possible shape or attach devices everywhere. Solar nano-cells recharge devices by sun or infrared rays. Without wires for electric energy is possible use it everywhere. Neither fall nor water can damage our precious electronic friend.

Today the considerable consumers for the gadgets are the youngsters those who are always on the move and always looking for fresh new things. Manufacturers do take this segment seriously and keep developing new products for them. Nokia has come out with what they call is Nokia 888 Form, a perfect phone for the youngsters which allows them to be free and have fun. It is simple, light and carefree as one can change the form according the needs.

The Nokia 888 design is aimed to show case the activity prone life of youngsters thus it can adjust to the moment and function used. Technology used is that of liquid battery, speech recognition with flexible touch screen and touch sensitive body cover which lets the same understand and accordingly to the environment. It’s easy to carry as it can be bent and rolled and put into the cloth like a clip if not carry it around the wrist or as a usual phone. So this is one instrument that is form fitted for the youngsters.

E-motions… It means electronical motions that 888 has. You can send and receive forms from / to friends. You can send a heart shape to your girlfriend, so her telephone turns into an icon of heart. Or you can send a dancing form to your friends to call them to the party tonight. This is the fun side of the product. If we look from the functionality side, 888 is quite flexible. You can put it into your pocket, roll it and make it smaller, or put on your wrist when you want to make a video call on the go. If you want to talk like a normal telephone, there you have your telephone shape. We go through a lot of places and situations in the daily life, so it seems like one form is not enough.
