Living Stones is a concept modular method of cultivation and to provide life-support to a plant inside a house without water on gidroponica. This concept can take care of your plants safely during your long absence at home. The modules are supplied with a tank of substratum and the capillaries moves to gidroponica with the help of a pump controlled by a computer. The built-in computer of the modules is able to control the submission of a substratum, power supply on accumulator and the user interface. You can take out the plat instead of dragging the modules with the easily movable tray for replacing or washing purpose. Three sizes of the modules are available for different plant sizes from violets to a palm tree.

White House is now being rediscovered and a one of submission for “WHITEHOUSEREDUX” competition. Check out this “Rediscovery” concept which is an eco friendly helium powered zeppelin. There is an accommodation and workspace for the President and his staff members. Modern communication technologies have been used by keeping in mind the local urgencies that can be provided. The main aim of “Rediscovery” is to make a worldwide exchange of new regenerative technologies possible. This docking station offers the perfect dual concept for the white house. Let’s see how far it can meet the expectations of the President and their staff members.

“Rediscovery” is a dual concept for the whitehouse, consisting of a building and a airship as a mobile part (including a mobile oval office). The Airships set to establish a world wide network in pursuit of new green technologies, making it possible to one nation to learn from another. The building serves also as a greenhouse for endangered endemic species.

Inspired by the design of a tree, this Matching Tree or Tree House is very useful concept for a librarian. It is shelving unit with a ladder built in to the bookcase in order to have all the books within one’s reach. One can easily adjust or extend ladder from floor to ceiling to reach to the higher shelves. This design submission came from Kuan-Sheng Wu, take a look at the V-shape of this concept, it assists to balance the weight of the bookcase and also protects it falling during an earthquake. The whole design attaches to the ceiling with the help of round discs that makes it completely freestanding. The Matching Tree is also one of IDSA 2008 finalists, congratulations !

Text from designer :

The Matching Tree is a system furniture, utilizing the expansion and rotation of supporting pillars to match the furniture with the surrounding interior of all heights and shapes, without any drilling or destructing the buildings. The Matching Tree also consists of ladder, which is required when reaching for the upper bookshelves; normally the ladder is embedded into the bookshelf, and may be lowered when required.
