Futuristic Landstorm Concept Vehicle for The Year 2058

Landstorm concept is a vehicle that is designed for future, when airborne vehicles will not be much effective to reach a particular area because of frequent natural disasters which is the result of future global warming. This vehicle has been designed as an all terrain vehicle that is equipped with a collection of hidden gadgets or compartments and the ability to interchange the pods located on its back. There is a variety of Pods that can be enclosed with the vehicle before it is sent to a particular location. These pods have been designed considering scouting missions, food and water transportation to a disaster affected area, medical pods that can treat 2 patients simultaneously, excavation pods that can work as a robust crane to remove large pieces of wreckage, and fire rescue pod where the tank can hold 750 gallons of water and can drain water from lakes with outboard pumps.

The 4 hydraulic legs of Landstorm can move independently and are providing great functionality by navigating over tremendously difficult terrain and raising itself up to reach the target. The use of these hydraulic drive-train attached with several powerful electric motors and powered by hydrogen fuel cell, have made the vehicle lightweight by removing the mechanical parts to impel the wheels. Moreover, it can be airdropped when the destination is far from the closest depot and then continue to reach the target on land.

The wheels of Landstorm are uniquely designed that feature small pods, allowing more grip on surfaces like loose dirt, mud or snow by increasing to compress surface area or just by using the edges to grip onto the surface. These are not just wheels, they feature a grapple gun or hook winch that lets the vehicle drag heavy debris or towing a standard vehicle. Once the Landstorm reaches the destination, the team will start rescuing and treating the survivors for emergency injuries.

The driver and navigator of Landstorm will have no problem finding out how far the destination is and how to get there by using the state of the art HUD technology along with a built in MultiSight camera (Infra Red, Night Vision and Cold Vision) powered with an advanced Computer AI. The heads up display features the most interactive information system which is controlled by the user’s neural patterns, which means, the information is controlled by the users thoughts. The rest of the cabin remains free for storage compartments for various equipments. There is a small backup unit that will start working if the main power source fails for any reason.

Domo : Touch Screen Digital Camera Concept

After being introduced by iPhone, many other competitors of the electronic industry have utilized the outstanding multi-touch facility in different gadgets. Domo touch camera probably would be the first camera with this feature. However, this project is still in the design lab and not much information has revealed yet, but the compact, sleek yet simple design of this camera would really be appreciated. This camera features single click shooting and the photo pops up just after taking the snap for reviewing. When you are viewing the photos from the internal memory or from the memory stick, they can be navigated by finger dragging and to view a photo in full screen, just tap the selected one.

Freescale Modular Netbook Based on ARM Technology

Portable workbooks with various features and brands are ever-increasingly popping up everyday and designers are still looking to introduce more functional gadgets. Smartbook is a concept design by Freescale who has specially made six prototypes with a wide range of features. These modular mini-notebooks are based on ARM processors and emphasize on enhanced super-long battery life in order to fit in different usage patterns. These compact smartbooks, with brilliant look, durable made and great functionality, will meet the growing need of handy ultra-portables with all the required attributes and ambience. These concepts didn’t get a hardware version yet but are expecting to adapt quite a big part of portable gadget markets.

sunLight, a Scaleable Gadget that Generates Power from Solar Energy

The unique product called sunLight is a concept that utilizes the natural energy both for its usage and storage. It is one unit that has all the aspects in one device like generating, storing and consuming the electrical energy. The device designed for a long lifecycle with the same components and no replacement of spares, and even if, there is a need for replacement of spares due to any malfunction, the same can be done without much of an effort and cost. Thus it’s not just environment friendly but quite cost effective as well. All that sunLight needs to work is solar energy – you simply unfold it so that solar cell film is exposed to the sun and the energy will recharge the batteries. Received power can be used in different ways, as a flashlight or for loading up connected gadgets (mobile phones or music players, for example).

sunLight is scaleable. The standard configuration embeds 6 modules, each of which consists of an LED unit and 2 AAAA rechargeable batteries. Furthermore, one of modules holds a charge controller. For more or less luminance/capacity, the size of solar cell film and with it the number of LED-battery modules can be varied proportionally. A low number of components reduces the production costs; production of different sizes requires just one new tool for the base material. Except for the batteries, all parts could be made of recyclable polymers.

Odonata Electric Boat Concept for E3H by Tanguy Bihan

The new concept electric boat designed by Tanguy Bihan, the Odonata is an electric boat which featured in the Nautical Trade Fair in Paris. The boat is 7 meters in length and has two primary ideas leading it in conceptualizing the same i.e. being modern while being ecology friendly. While it is elegant and contemporary and is run on electricity, the boat is completely noiseless while sailing and in one recharge of batteries it can run up to five hours at a stretch. Also it has plethora of gadgets like GPS multimedia player etc, it ensures that the user is not out of sync in the middle of waters!

Luxury Sentori 58R Yacht Design is Inspired by Automotive Design

The new stylish yacht is simply a designer marvel as the design seems to have been inspired by sports car. The exterior design is aerodynamically strong as it is in all the sports cars, so one can say that it’s the designer among yacht. But it seems that the designers won’t leave any stone unturned as even the interior seems to be quite inspired to give that luxury feeling. The interiors are quite apt for contemporary living while the same has been added with a number of innovative gadgets which actually complete the overall look. It’s time to jet set go!

“SENTORI 58R is a flybridge motor yacht, with three decks, a length of about 18m and a displacement of 28to.

The general exterior- design language of the vessel is mainly inspired by automotive design, using surface tensions and automotive, coupe- type key elements.

Exterior features: on SENTORI 58R a part of the windshield is acting as a door and guarantees direct access to the sunbathing area at the bow. directly below the sunbathing area the fender compartment is located which is accessible by opening the whole cover. Further more there are features such as a splitable, loweralbe bathing platform, a very low equipment carrier and a skylight-wetbar element on the flybridge deck.

Interior design and main features: the design language of SENTORI’s interior mainly uses floating elements which deal with the different levels and stairs harmonically. in general, the idea of modern and loft-like living on the sea was the foundation of SENTORI’s interior concept. Besides, the purpose was to gain a maximum of variability. SENTORI is able to serve rooms on demand: the guest cabin is not only a bedroom but can also be connected to the owner’s state room to extend the living area if wanted. therefore it can as well be used as an office, providing a desk and lounge.”

Futuristic Sleek Peugeot Shoo Car Concept with Solar Panel Roof

Car concept with solar panel on the roof is not something new. But Peugeot Shoo car concept is pretty cool and futuristic. The best thing about these concept cars is that designers are focusing on developing eco-friendly and green gadgets with more and more technologies in them. This new car called “Peugeot Shoo” is also contributing something to the word “Green”. This car is all about solar glow and is designed in a triangle shape with solar roof that enable it to take energy from sun and later transform to run its electrical engine. Its sleek shape and floating parts are going to give enough space on the roads to breath. The solar panel roof somehow makes this car has futuristic look.

The car is designed in a stable triangle shape to give it plenty of design and a lot of space as well. It has a solar roof enabling energy of the sun to be capture and transformed to run its electrical engine. The car is not only a zero-emission vehicle but even the power for its electric engine is from alternate sources making it truly and completely eco-friendly. While the car can tango on its pretty awesome suspension, it amalgamates the features of ergonomic design with clean power to deliver big time.

Canova Dual Touch Screen Laptop Should Be Here by 2010

A lot of concept gadgets are coming up primarily to utilize the human senses. Of course the sense of touch is what is being utilized the maximum with many touch screen devices being developed. When almost every latest phone is touch screen can laptops be left behind? An Italian company V12 design has devised ‘Canova’ which is a dual LCD laptop, which is yes touch screen. Though the design is more than four years old, the company wants to take this a step further by introducing the second generation laptops of the same series. It is working on the device to support multi touch and also fit in the microphone to enable voice commands. They claim that the model should be in the market by 2010!

Form Follows You, Nokia 888 Concept Cell Phone

Today the considerable consumers for the gadgets are the youngsters those who are always on the move and always looking for fresh new things. Manufacturers do take this segment seriously and keep developing new products for them. Nokia has come out with what they call is Nokia 888 Form, a perfect phone for the youngsters which allows them to be free and have fun. It is simple, light and carefree as one can change the form according the needs.

The Nokia 888 design is aimed to show case the activity prone life of youngsters thus it can adjust to the moment and function used. Technology used is that of liquid battery, speech recognition with flexible touch screen and touch sensitive body cover which lets the same understand and accordingly to the environment. It’s easy to carry as it can be bent and rolled and put into the cloth like a clip if not carry it around the wrist or as a usual phone. So this is one instrument that is form fitted for the youngsters.

Or you can send a dancing form to your friends to call them to the party tonight. This is the fun side of the product. If we look from the functionality side, 888 is quite flexible. You can put it into your pocket, roll it and make it smaller, or put on your wrist when you want to make a video call on the go. If you want to talk like a normal telephone, there you have your telephone shape. We go through a lot of places and situations in the daily life, so it seems like one form is not enough.
