There are many people who have faced problems with cooking during outings or when you are camping at a remote place. Considering this fact, industrial designer Zhdanova Irina has conceived the idea of a self sufficient mobile kitchen, EGGo. This egg shaped mobile kitchen has a water reservation tank, gas chamber along with a water sink and a burner. The glossy metal body doesn’t seem like a kitchen from any point of view but there are several layers of this kitchen with different useful features. You can use this kitchen inside your tent and can carry it easily on the top of your car.

This new compact dish rack has been designed in so that it fits the sink counter perfectly. The designers while designing this device have kept in mind the fact that it not only looks smart but also is compact enough to fit into the smallest of space provided. The design lets the pivoting spout to drain water directly into sink, thereby ensuring cleanliness and no water being on the dish rack or the plates. The plastic walls are also easy to clean thereby it helps in hiding the clutter of drying dishes. So this compact dish rack can be said to be a perfect companions for the kitchen.

Saeco Xsmall, An Automatic Espresso Coffee Machines by DesignWorksUSA

The latest coffee maker design from the house of Saeco seems to be a winner, right from the word “go”. It is in continuation with the last revamping that was done for the entire line of coffee machines along with the design arm of the BMW group. It has been dubbed as Saeco Xsmall, and is the smallest of its model. Overall the product has design elements of its previous products i.e. Primea, Talea & Odea. The interface of the product is quite user friendly, with a centralized knob. Also the color combination that has been incorporated by the designers is quite contemporary and surely will find many takers.

Xsmall machines have been designed to satisfy a public of young managers and career women, highly-evolved and urban consumers who live in major cities and in small homes, but who enjoy a dynamic lifestyle. Accustomed to optimizing space and time, the “new yuppies” favour functionality and essentialness in the appliances they buy, without having to surrender anything in terms of design, high performance and quality.

They spend much of their time away from home but this does not stop them creating a “homely nest” in which to enjoy quiet moments of personal pleasure: “islands of relaxation” within their frenetic and stressful daily lives. Kitchen Scale Design with Sensory Mil Weight

As they say good things come in small packages, the new kitchen scale design seems to have taken this adage. This cute little masterpiece is something which can be said to be a necessity that all modern kitchens should have. As mentioned, design wise it’s small and compact thus does not take much of a space, also it can measure in both grams and calories and does the necessary exchange. Also it can tell time as well, it perfectly goes with the overall idea of giving maximum output using minimum space. Something all of us believe in, isn’t it?

The body functions as a measure when it is taken out from the weight panel. It can tare, show the time and make gram/cal exchange. It provides smaller space for storage that weight panel and the body are pulled through each other. It facilitates weight process and interface usage that control panel and weight panel are placed apart. The aim is to provide maximum usage facility in minimum space. By means of sensory mil weight, it measures the moment of the approaching surface and exchanges it for unit of measurement. Interface consists of three buttons and at the same time these buttons are used to set the hour data. When the part on the lower panel is to be folded, it is positioned on the coaxial gap on the acrylic part. The orange-colored circle is a visual complement that ensures us placing the things to be weighted on the very middle point.

The new concept designed by Dutch designers Arthur Rottier and Peter Jongman can be defined in one word as “refreshing”. They call it WoonBox and it is revolutionary in combining the basic necessities which are identified in regular household. This device has a shower, toilet and a kitchen in a compact box like structure. Apart from being chic, it is mobile, mechanized and easy to set up. This makes it perfect for offices, parks as well as for locations wherever temporary set up is required. So surely it is a brilliant idea which takes care of all your basic needs.

Designed to serve as temporary residence in places where permanent homes are difficult to locate, Woonbox can be set-up in spaces like offices and parks as makeshift measures. Woonbox would also come in handy for the poor and homeless as well as the class of populace that cannot afford large permanent establishments.

This futuristic kitchen is designed by Aslihan Yilmaz and Kitchen Mood has become the X-08 National Design Competition Kitchen 10th Finalist, TURKEY 2008. Kitchen mood is perfect for urban lifestyle which demands more and more space in such limited area. The aim of this kitchen design is to liberalize the metropolitan user and create a new “kitchen mood”. This kitchen is foldable, all of the components can be fold when it is not used, 4 sided with 360 degree rotatable.

Kitchen mood has 5 main are with its own functions : washing, heating/cooking, cold (fridge), eating(table), and storage. It has everything you need, including a waste bin. Futuristic kitchen mood is definitely an answer for small space environment.
