Burst is a concept projector phone designed to boost the functionality and mobility of the conventional touch phones. Burst can project images onto any type of flat surface from projectors mounting aside with its specialized software to deform and compress the touch space display. The touch screen performs just like the traditional screens, but the operation takes place on the virtual projection space. Burst can project HD interactive full color touch spaces showing applications and menus, that opens in a lower touch space. The innovative user interface of Burst utilizes sound and motion sensors to capture as well as process user interactions inside the touch space.

Super functional applications are the key attribute of Burst. It supports revolutionary video conferencing which will help the deaf and hearing impaired aside from offering many other advantages. The Tactility is a specially designed mobile phone concept that will diminish the limitation of blind peoples being uncomfortable with traditional mobile phones. The usual mobile phones mainly focus on its aesthetics and functions, without thinking of the usability for a person who will not be able to see it. Moreover, different model handset contains different keyboard arrangements, as well as different operating menus that make it harder to operate a cell phone for blind people. The keyboard of Tactility is designed with Braille and features most commonly used function which will greatly reduce the hassle of blind people using it. The bottom of the phone comprises a circular ring where a chain can be attached to hang the phone around the neck of a blind person which will boost their convenience of using the phone.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 with its 3.2” touchscreen has been officially unveiled after its sleek-looking predecessor X1. If you consider dimensions, the latest X2 is close to its previous version; however, it’s lighter than the X1. The Jalou phone is the outcome of the latest partnership between designers Dolce and Gabbana and Sony Ericsson which features latest technology along with fashion statement to make others green with desire as well. The unique design of this phone was inspired by the multiple surfaces of a cushion-cut gemstone. The features that must be talked about this phone are its efficient 3.2 megapixel camera that can tag photos with their geographic position, a 2-inch high resolution display, stereo Bluetooth and a built-in-mirror, all these are packed into its compact clamshell which is as small as a lipstick box. Normal versions of this phone are already available in deep amethyst, onyx black and aquamarine shades, and the special D&G edition will be available in Sparkling Rose with 24-karat gold plating along with a special wireless headset.

TO2 is a marvelously designed sliding phone that looks like a slide-phone when it is closed and when it is open, the step or the sliding surfaces can’t be seen on its backside, giving an impression that it’s meant to be open. TO2 is designed in a black piano finish that gives it a classy look. Moreover, the giant display and the unique keypad give it a modern touch.

The phone is designed as a thin, clear and transparent plastic sheet, which remains clear during a sunny day, becomes humid during a rainy day and takes a dump outlook during a snowy day. The user can write text messages or draw pictures on the phone in different weather conditions which will later transform and show as SMS characters. The screen features sensitive interaction with the user and comprises the state of a window in different weather conditions.

Braille Concept Phone for Visually Challenged People

Braille phone is a universal cellular phone concept that is able to produce Braille code in a particular part of it by using Electric Active Plastic to make it usable for visually handicapped people. The phone has been designed in a simple and easy to use manner and looks like a television remote control. The Braille area provides all the information that a traditional screen of a cell phone displays so that visually impaired people can read them by touching it. It provides letter blocks in two by three dot matrixes and by using this principle on buttons, visually challenged people can easily create or read text messages. This braille phone just won Red Dot Awards 2009.
