The Tactility is a specially designed mobile phone concept that will diminish the limitation of blind peoples being uncomfortable with traditional mobile phones. The usual mobile phones mainly focus on its aesthetics and functions, without thinking of the usability for a person who will not be able to see it. Moreover, different model handset contains different keyboard arrangements, as well as different operating menus that make it harder to operate a cell phone for blind people. The keyboard of Tactility is designed with Braille and features most commonly used function which will greatly reduce the hassle of blind people using it.

The recent mobile phone market has boomed with plenty of gadgetry handsets from various manufacturers. Connect is a design of Gavin Flowers that is offering ease through usability along with cool attractive look. This ultra slim phone with simple keys will allow you to operate it without the hassle of finding the right key for a particular function. The built-in camera will allow you to capture your memories for future reviews. The main aspiration of designing this phone is to improve appearance and usability, and create a product that is inclusive.

Gavin explanations about “Connect” Phone:
Connect is offering simplicity through usability as well as Looks
The majority of the mobile communication market aim their products towards the mid ages. The mature age can’t relate or adjust to such products as easily as other generations because of lack of experience and ability. Physical and User Interaction aspects of a mobile device are the main issues that prevent the mature age using most devices. In the general consumer market, products are over loaded with visual complexity and extra features to standout from competitors. Even to a competent mobile device user this can give the perception of complexity, when all that is desired is simplicity and understanding.

Menu Navigation
Optimus keys house little OLED displays behind them which can be programmed using special software to accommodate multiple functions. Incorporating Optimus keys allows for simplicity within the usability and appearance of the design. This allows what potentially could be a complex menu, to be hidden within the Optimus keys and for the screen to display the current state the user is in. Lesser keys are physically required, making the overall appearance visually simplistic and alluring.

P-Per mobile phone is a combination of advanced, simple, green and unique, designed by Chocolate Agency, this cell phone won Red Dot Design Awards 2007. Exploring many possibilities of sustainable design, P-Per made only from 4 layers, and one of them is an e-paper screen (which is chocolate agency famous product) which warps the entire phone. Made out entirely of sustainable materials, this futuristic mobile phone is using extruded polycarbonate to cope with its physical functions, hypoallergenic and recyclable titanium parts, and environmental friendly organic battery which is free from heavy metals.

Using soft materials, this Soft Phone concept is a finalist in Tancher Award 2008. The interface features its fabric material, to define the function modules by extrusion and fold. This soft phone concept is based on the fabric digital display technology, which will lead to a new experience in more flexible cell phone operation. Jian Qian says “The Bluetooth earphone buckled to the string can charge the phone by Electromagnetic Induction. The material of the interface is fabric while the one of clip and circle is silica gel, which makes the phone very soft and portable.”

The purpose of this concept is to explore innovative products for the near future. Nowadays, more people use cellphones to substitute for cameras and music players. The cellphone becomes a digital Swiss army knife in the new era. Because of the light-power use and carry-on property, the combination of cellphone and camera is the most successful one. Instead of relying on a big touchscreen or software solutions only, this concept focused on the essential value of an easy-use cellphone.

After APPLE released the ?iPhone?, the whole personal communication field was deeply impacted. The touchscreen has become bigger as more functions rely on software solutions. After turning off the power, these iPhone-like products look like boxes without souls.

The designer believe that the touchscreen & software controls are great improvements, but not the ultimate. Besides the screen, there should be another method for interaction. So, he designed a half-size screen, and a transparent area as the camera viewfinder. By using the innovative camera viewfinder, the user can directly interact with objects in front of him/her. ?What you see is what you get.?
