The Water Catcher concept is a flying rain catcher as well as a water purifier to address an easy and efficient water storage system. This automated device is designed to dispatch small flying ball shaped devices that are able to catch rain drops. These amazing flying balls return to the launching station after collecting the rain drops to purify the collected water to make them worth drinking. After purifying the water, the balls take the drinkable water directly to the user who wants to drink. The launching station is known as homing tray that can read finger prints to verify what additives needed to be add to the water to make it healthy for the drinker. Water Catcher is one of top 8 Electrolux Design Lab finalists, you can vote for this design here : http://www.electroluxdesignlab.com/overview/

Sergio Gedanke has come up with a new mobile phone called iTT which endorses a classic look in stylish black and silver combination. The main menu button is a stark red one which is located in the middle of the silver fascia of the phone. The uniqueness of the phone lies in its screen which can be opened easily. When closed the screen features brilliant sheen and complements the silver grey color perfectly. The overall look of the phone is extremely classy and funky at the same time.

Text from Sergio:

The AUDI brand is a well-respected and trusted product in the automotive world. The iTT concept phone is a result of exploring AUDI’s form vocabulary on a handheld device such as a cell phone.

The iTT phone incorporates similar materials and finishes found on the roadster TT and the high-class A8 model. User-interface is also similar to current trends in both automotive interiors and hand-held devices such as trackballs and backlit customizable keyboards. The innovative tilting screen allow easy reading during driving.

The new kettle design by Daniel Bailey is a perfect example of tradition meeting modernity. The device is used to make tea but in the traditional Chinese way. It consists of two boading balls of which one is the induction cooker while the other is the one used to store water. Traditionally boading balls have been used as a stress relieving tool, so first the water is filled and closed, after which the cooker heats up the water. So relieve stress as the tea is made, and then enjoy the tea to complete the process. So go ahead and enjoy your cup of well made tea!

The grass that is cut is considered to be the useless remainder while cutting grass. The product “Muwi” benefits the third party in numerous ways by the act of cutting grass in order to create fair grass. “Muwi” first acknowledges the entire size of the land and automatically cuts the grass. The cut grass, which is created upon cutting the grass, is stored inside. As the cut grass begins to accumulate inside the machine, “Muwi” constructs and compresses the cut grass into two types of blocks. Then this cut grass is no longer a remainder that needs extra efforts to be thrown out or cleaned up. It rather becomes balls for children to play with or a chair to sit on or any other opportunity. These newly created blocks give care without even realizing it. Furthermore, after these blocks are used and left behind, they naturally go back to its neighboring nature in time. It is circulated again through nature and gives nature and us the natural consideration.

Bored after a hard days work? Stressed that targets are not being met? How about a fast paced game completed with all levels. Or just want to catch up on the latest movie, or speaking to your partner about the future. All this in a single foldable device! Welcome to 2014 device! Ori-ori-Moshi-moshi is a concept device designed by Antenna Design. Just put it out of your pocket and spread it on the table and just let it be what you want it to be!

Now the scenario given above is not from any ‘sci fi’ or James Bond movie, but could be something you and I might be using in the future. This foldable concept gadget might be one to watch for, as it chooses various angles to fold up. With more and more emphasis been given to less is more, it can be said that this is what the doctor ordered for a busy technocrat like you.

This revolutionary foldable design will surely be grabbing eyeballs once it is out in the market, only hitch being, what does Ori Ori Mochi Mochi mean?

Designed by Tilmann Schlootz, German designer, this Snook concept is original and agile personal mobility vehicle that rides on a sphere.

Take a look at the multi-directional engine which consists of a sphere-wheel and enables the driver to navigate and steer the auto-stabilized cain in every direction. You’ll feel new driving experience, Audi Snook offers new maneuvers, fun driving, and satisfying the needs of future urban mobility.

Tilmann Schlootz describes his project: “The Magic Egg of Columbus, or better, two billard balls standing on each other: this icon is my origin on the way of reducing the hardware demands of physical mobility to the minimum.

One point touching the ground, the inverse pendulum in motion. Agility through instability, controlled by artificial intelligence – that is my formal issue.”

The concept model and designer Tilmann Schlootz will be present at the “Hannover Fair” (21-25 April 2008).
