The Nissan V2G concept vehicle has been designed to adopt with the electrified and ultra-efficient network of the nation’s highways called the ‘GRID’ for the year 2030. This car comprises a dynamic, low cost and quality construction V2G electric engine that is being expected to be the best selling vehicle of that time. The creative young minds of LA’s legendary automotive culture are highly potential considering its simple and user-friendly EV architecture. The organic shape along with great functionality is the key features that will keep the vehicle user segment intact.

Audi Daysailer concept is the first step of Audi beyond their usual car range, crafted by an Austrian Applied Science Student, Mark Klug. The main goal of designing this product was to create a powerful yacht that contains vibrant features as well as excellent and attractive look that can allure anyone. With this brilliant project, the designer has created a clean and simply readable, but still sporty and expensive image for Audi Daysailer, even as filling the form of the German automakers philosophy of yacht making. This 15 meters long and 21 meters high yacht will surely be a plus in the automotive design world.

Lightning Hybrids LH3 Car Concept Will Be Available in 2010

Lightning Hybrids is a well known automotive manufacturing and research company that is going to develop LH3, a 100 MPG hydraulic-biodiesel hybrid car. Prototype manufacturing of this car started in January 2009 planned for finishing before the Denver Auto Show that is going to be held during 1st to 5th April 2009. Manufacturing of this car is expected to start in 2010 in Loveland, Colorado. The LH3 will be powered with a 90 HP BioDiesel/Diesel engine which is currently rated in Europe at 90 MPG, mated in parallel to a Hydraulic motor/pump of 150 HP and accumulator system. This car will be able to go 0-60 MPH in 6 seconds and the estimated top speed of this car is 110 MPH. Let’s wait and see then …

Mercedes F-Cell Roadster Unites High Tech and Tradition

Mercedes F-CELL is a concept Hydrogen-powered buggy roadster which is able to attract anyone’s attraction by adding a fiberglass body, joystick control and hydrogen-electric fuel-cell power unit. The car is supposed to contain all the technologies that the top-shelved Mercedes cars have. It boasts a fiberglass and carbon fiber body structure, a compact fuel cell of 1.2kW is being used for power generation and the top speed of this car is 25 km/h. The car remains away from the traditional steering wheel rather it is using a joystick control for driving. The silly, big spoked bicycle wheels are another attraction of this car.

Mercedes-Benz F-CELL Roadster – trainees build a car of the future

* Young people unite high tech and tradition

* Alternative drive systems as a training topic

In a hitherto unique project bridging various fields of profession, the trainees of Daimler AG at the Sindelfingen Mercedes-Benz plant have built a Roadster with fuel cell drive. For about a year, more than 150 trainees and dual education system students worked on the overall concept, development, assembly, and completion of the F-CELL Roadster. This project involved junior employees from the fields of automotive mechatronics, model-building, electronics, coating technology, manufacturing mechanics, product design, and interior appointments. The prime objective of the project was to integrate the topic of alternative drive systems into training with hands-on experience.

“This project impressively demonstrates that the topic of sustainable mobility has become an integral part of our vocational training,” said Human Resources Board member and Labor Relations Manager Günther Fleig. “I am delighted to see how much initiative and creativity the young people have put into this project.”

Tradition meets the future

The F-CELL Roadster uniquely combines state-of-the-art technologies with the history of vehicle construction. As an allusion to the Benz Patent Motor Car from 1886, the vehicle is fitted with large spoked wheels. Moreover, the F-CELL Roadster incorporates stylistic elements from diverse eras of automotive history, such as the carbon-fiber bucket seats with hand-stitched leather covers and the distinctively styled fiberglass front section, based on the component from the Formula One racing bolides.

The F-CELL Roadster is controlled with drive-by-wire technology, and a joystick takes the place of a conventional steering wheel. The vehicle is powered by the emission-free fuel cell system located at the rear. With a power rating of 1.2 kW the F-CELL Roadster reaches a top speed of 25 km/h and has an operating range of up to 350 km.

BMW Snug is A Simple and Fun Car for People Who Appreciate The Values of Community

BMW Snug is a concept design of a car that makes community. This brilliant design by David Raffai, an expert automotive designer, tried to recover the values of community from this car that are slowly vanishing away from the current corporate world. This thesis project has been done in association with the BMW group and the outcome is undoubtedly a simple and fun product specially designed for people who realize personal relationships and are different from others in their feelings and opinions. The most remarkable achievement of this project is the BMW commission highly appreciated the project.

David Raffai words :
In the future metropolis, which will be more and more chaotic, confusing, grey and polluted, we risk becoming automatons, slaves to money and personal success: not accepting the intrinsic naturalism of the human being; ready, instead, for selection and competition, forgetting about individual diversity and the respect of pure ideas, which separate us from cold, mechanic industrialization. Escape, via art, from the objective conception of things, choosing instead authentic, non-contaminated expression.

SNUG is a concept which aims to create a sense of community: a simple, fun object, designed for people who appreciate personal relationships, people who are different from the others, in their opinions and in their feelings. This multiplicity of emotions gives birth to an intention of self-expression able to make well-being and happiness blossom, trying to recover the values which are otherwise slowly vanishing in our world.

Some technical parameters:
- 4 seater interior which can be used as a living room
- changeable graphics on the side to be more unique
- fuel cell

The form concept was based on paper waves which are covering a central cell, where the interior can be found.

Aventos Vehicle Concept for Mega Cities

Today all the concepts that’s been designed has environment as one of the focal points hence new technologies are innovated keeping in mind the future sustainability like electric motors with renewable energy etc. It is this desire that keeps pushing the manufacturers and automotive designers have been researching and designing newer and better cars. The new ‘Aventos’ concept is something that’s been designed on these lines. It is a utility vehicle which has been designed for both small and medium sized businesses in the cities wherein this concept has been used for transporting goods from one destination to another across the city thus, ensuring the cleaner and more organized cities.

Desired outcome
Eliminate or dramatically reduce transportation devices contribution to carbon emission. Be able to cut down vehicle footprint and the number of vehicles operating on the road at any one time. Provide a sound and friendly module transportation system that are used by the public on a daily bases even for people without the Aventos vehicle.

Ease the finance pressure on small and medium sized businesses by providing an adaptive transportation device for their daily needs.

Assist the younger generation in adapting to the neo-nomadic lifestyle because the vehicle can assist in independent moving operations without the need of external assistance. Provide a fresh, young and eco friendly image for medium sized city commercial vehicles to the general public.

iTT Phone Design was Inspired by Audi

Sergio Gedanke has come up with a new mobile phone called iTT which endorses a classic look in stylish black and silver combination. The main menu button is a stark red one which is located in the middle of the silver fascia of the phone. The uniqueness of the phone lies in its screen which can be opened easily. When closed the screen features brilliant sheen and complements the silver grey color perfectly. The overall look of the phone is extremely classy and funky at the same time.

The AUDI brand is a well-respected and trusted product in the automotive world. The iTT concept phone is a result of exploring AUDI’s form vocabulary on a handheld device such as a cell phone.

The iTT phone incorporates similar materials and finishes found on the roadster TT and the high-class A8 model. User-interface is also similar to current trends in both automotive interiors and hand-held devices such as trackballs and backlit customizable keyboards. The innovative tilting screen allow easy reading during driving.
