This solar notebook concept is a laptop with complete power independent. Its independence is due to powerful batteries that are recharged by wide Solar Panel attached to the computer. Equipped with satellite link GPS, internet access, and satellite telephone which makes this device not only power independent but also universal tool for communication and exchange information literally from any spot on the planet.
The solar panel may be completely detached from the main body to be put away for recharging, then smaller battery inside the computer is on. This small battery is recharged with solar power too when DC is plugged in.
This sure do will come in handy for scientists or researchers who work far away from civilization and power source.

After the popularity of three-wheelers is rising, started by Piaggio MP3, Gilero Fuoco and Vectrix, a French scooter importer Sidam try to enter the market by building another type of three-wheel scooter. But this time, instead of putting two wheels at the front, they decided to put the two wheels at the rear of the vehicle. Kinda remind me of Thai Tuk Tuk, but Xnovo concept is somehow some crossover between a minivan and Thai Tuk Tuk.
The design sketches seem to suggest that both rear wheels will be belt driven in the 500cc Piaggio-engined petrol version - although hybrid and fully electric versions are also on the cards, the latter featuring twin electric motors, one in each wheel hub. The luggage angle is definately a big part of the concept fot Sidam.
We’ll wait to learn more as the Xnovo moves towards a launch date rumoured to be late 2008. Price is expected to be around ?8000 for the 500cc model.

Another innovative design concept from Nokia, the morph concept. Featured in The Museum of Modern Art ?Design and The Elastic Mind? exhibition, the Morph concept device is a bridge between highly advanced technologies and their potential benefits to end-users. Developed by NRC (Nokia Research Center) in collaboration with the Cambridge Nanoscience Centre (United Kingdom), Morph is a concept phone that using nanotechnology which enables materials and components that are flexible, stretchable, transparent and remarkably strong. Users should be able to transform their cell phone into different shapes.

From the website :
“Morph concept technologies might create fantastic opportunities for mobile devices: * Newly-enabled flexible and transparent materials blend more seamlessly with the way we live
* Devices become self-cleaning and self-preserving
* Transparent electronics offering an entirely new aesthetic dimension
* Built-in solar absorption might charge a device, whilst batteries become smaller, longer lasting and faster to charge
* Integrated sensors might allow us to learn more about the environment around us, empowering us to make better choices”
We probably see this technology another 5-7 years in the future, by using nanotechnology, hopefully can lead to low cost manufacturing solutions and the possibility of integrating complex functionality at a low price.

Simple cup design that helps you remove your spoon while you mix in sugar or cream within your tea or coffee. “Ceramix for Mix” saucer and cup design was created by three brilliant designers : Florian Dussopt, Jeremie Reneau & Julie Girard. Using a ceramic balls that act as a track, this ball will help you to mix your tea or coffee when you swirl your cup. As for me, I still love the old way by spinning my little silver spoon in my tea or coffee cup slowly, I think that’s the art of drinking my tea or coffee, but that’s just me

The idea behind this Daihatsu Internship design was the monospace nature of this concept can gives the interior a spacious feeling, which is further enhanced by the large (plexi) glass windows and the small luggage area. In the big cities, space is luxury, so for leisure vehicles like this, space is important.
Because the intended use of the vehicle, luggage space has been used to house good audio equipment. The lack of a rear window makes it possible to put it even more optional equipment. The deep dashboard offers enough space for optional entertainment system. Small cameras are integrated in the wide graphic lines, increasing visibility and compromising for the lack of a rear window.

London better get ready for urban bike sharing system. This success program in Paris is going to attack streets of London. Around 15k bikes, a thousand stations have already implemented in London. The bike is designed and assembled for high-traffic use, but with a little bit old style because Jenny Jones the organizers of the program wanted people to see this bike as tool instead of fashion accessory, keep the thief away.
