It’s quite difficult for disabled teachers to move freely when using overhead projector. That’s why Reinier Halbertsma and Sarah Hay came up with this overhead projector desk design. This was inspired by a disabled Professor who generously field-tested many prototypes. Users can switch easily between overhead slides, use the central grab rail for mobility, and it can be used in many configurations.

Wang Yigang has designed flow, a wind solar energy system. This solar and wind energy collection system uses arciform photovoltaic cells to enable a better collection of sun light. At the same time, the shell, which is composed of six photovoltaic cells, can be used as wind concentrator. The wind forms a whirlpool within. This acceleration of wind speed increases the performance of the rotor. Through movable joints, the angles of the photovoltaic cells can be adjusted so that different orientations can be made for the maximisation of sun exposure, and to vary the amount of wind entering the system. The wind energy system uses a Darrieus-type vertical axis wind turbine. It can operate normally even when the wind is not very strong. In addition, FLOW?s small size makes this system suitable for family use.

The main idea was to create a personal computer that doesn’t look like a plastic box, and could really put a design touch on a desk. To arrive to Spice PC, Fred decided to use an infra-red system for the keyboard, that will appear like a magic item on your desk… same concept for the screen, that he wanted integrated to the tower, and use a video projector system, that permit the computer to show all content on a simple wall. Forget about your old square shape PC, Fred bring a new meaning in Personal Computer casing design.

Autonoma, This solar public lighting pole is totally autonomous and presents the advantage to be placed in any isolated area where electricity is not available. Built with power leds which offer lighting performance and energy saving it also can be programmed. Smart with its detector of presence, when a pedestrian comes close, the light intensity of the pole raises to full power and decreases to a third only to spare itself, when there is nobody around.

Power Conscience is designed to give us up to the minute statistic of your energy usage to calculates your current electric bill. Most of us don’t really know how much energy we use even we have meters outside, we still don’t really know exactly. Delroy not just desgined a plain home electric meter, but also give you beautiful panel with LEDs forming a floral pattern. The more energy that you use, the more light is emitted as if the florals are growing.

Based on research, kids? observation is a psychological behavior. It takes long to change their cognitive habit and get used to new ones. This project aims to build an amusing interactive platform with electronic technology, which is easy for kids to control and can quickly improve their cognition process.

IC is an interactive device which can help kids get to know things they are interested in and figure out answers to their own questions all by themselves. As its name implies, it may help kids to go from ?see the object? to ?eventually see the function?. -
