Very innovative design from Einar Hareide and Anna Oren, the Jotul 373 wood burning stove is purist and functional in its design and opens up new possibilities of how to make use of a stove in a room. What is innovative about the stove is that it can stand free almost anywhere in the room and thus creates a new living room quality. It features a detailed design, unique precision in the cast iron, and can be operated from all sides. Furthermore, the wood burning stove can be rotated 360 degrees when it is fitted with a flue outlet at the top and with a turntable. In order to adapt to a variety of different interiors, the basic models of the three stoves in this range can be fitted individually and combined with a variety of leg sets. The stoves can also be fitted with an additional glass front panel that lowers the surface temperature on the front. Another unique and well-conceived feature is the decorative panels for the side windows. The panels protect walls and furniture from direct radiant heat and create evocative shadow figures on the walls. In order to give the experience of true open fire, the wood-burning stove has been designed with large glass sides ? giving a direct view on the elementary play of the flames.

Memory Board is designed to bring order into the increasingly hectic bustle of everyday life. It is ideal for use in the kitchen, hall or workplace. The concept consists of six boards (39,5 x 24 cm) made of stainless steel and plastics: a white board, a magnetic board, a key board, a picture frame, a calendar board incl. calendar and a letter holder. Aesthetically appealing and decorative, the Memory Board is designed with functionality in mind so as to be easy to set up and use. The individual boards are simply latched into a plastic rail with recessed adjustable holes (supplied as part of the package) or slid in from the side. I’m a little bit confused with this motor design, where do I sit ? This renovation concept by Confederate Motor Company uses minimal machine, using the fewest pieces, moving parts and systems to accomplish its dynamic mission. The word “Renovation” itself means rebirth, which also represent the rebirth of their headquarters company after destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The Driving concept was the creation of a conceptually flexible foundation to allow a place for growth and further iteration; a utilitarian modular flexible foundation.

Conceived by the leader of our conceptual design team, Mr. Ed Jacobs, the motorcycle is at once primitive, bohemian, and yet highly technical. Renovatio is un-compromised, light weight, possesses enormous torque, is capable of extreme performance, yet has maximum real world streetable active safety. It is graceful in motion, yet potentially brutal. It exudes inner beauty through absolute follow through of truth of concept. Renovatio has great proportions, holistic brand gestalt, is original, impactful, alluring and elegant

Art dealer Kenny Schachter commissioned Hadid to create an original concept car. That resulting in Z.Car Project which you can see it at the Guggenheim Museum in New York soon. With 4 meters long, I think Z.Car is still in acceptable scale, and the good thing is the ergonomic and modern design makes it great city car, easy to park and environmentally friendly (renewable fuel cells). This is one possible future car that we might see in a few years.

This cassette-deck style toaster designed by Arthur Wu can surely match your modern kitchen. Your toast will pop out every morning just like your mix tape in 1980s technology. I like the top switch and the front cool logo. But I see that the design only have one side heating element, which mean we have to flip to side B to heat both side, and that is impractical. Arthur, want to make comment on this ?

Designed by Nicholas Paterson, Kohler offers the opportunity to save water and reduce sewage and maintenance costs while also providing outstanding performance and stylish design to users. Once the liquid waste has passed through, the less dense sealing liquid maintains its position at the top of the trapway, thus providing an impermeable barrier that blocks odors. Quote from the website : “The geometry of the urinal not only provides a fresh, architectural design, but also virtually eliminates splashing. Additionally, the touch-free operation improves hygiene for all users and is more vandal-resistant due to the absence of a flush valve”. I think these are going to be used in all bathroom somewhere near in the future.
